That was one awesome way to promote The Sound of Music Live! I've seen the broadcast three times and it was not perfect but such a spectacular night of TV. I'm blessed to be part of this generation of LIVE musicals on our HD screens! Kudos to Santino Fontana (no hard feelings for voicing Hans in Frozen) and Laura Osnes when they were on Broadway in Cinderella.

I think this is awesome! Ok, it's different from the original, but the contemporary feel will reignite the passion for "The Sound Of Music", be it the original movie or the Live version, with today's youth who may be missing out on a great true story. Plus, getting the public involved was a great idea! I wonder though what the Vontrapp family thinks of this given their bold criticism of Carrie Underwood's performance, and indeed that of the other cast members, who I think did a wonderful job considering it was a LIVE broadcast?!
