Did you know, that I recently wrote the most comprehensive book ever about keeping, feeding, and breeding Cherry Shrimp? Check it out here 👉🏻link.Fishkeepinganswers.com/FiCP5l

I rarely comment on anything but this video was brilliant. Straight to the point, but still broad and informative. You really earned a Like & Sub! What I did notice though is that your audio is a bit weird. Do you convert from Stereo to Mono and do you reduce the noise? I'm an Audio Engineer and it sounded like that to me :D

Hi. First off, thank you for subscribing. I hope to bring you lots more informative videos. On the audio point, I just have a preset for the audio which I apply in Premiere Pro. My room is small and echoes due to the number of flat surfaces I have (fish tanks). If you have some advice or guidance, I would REALLY appreciate it. I would happily swap your help for a FREE digital copy of my book 🤔

@@FishKeepingAnswers I've looked up the microphone you are using right now and it has built in noise reduction with a yellow button on the microphone itself. I would suggest to turn that off (IF it is on - sounds like it to me) since it is more usable in windy conditions. The echo from your room is a "physical problem" and there are no optimal digital workarounds for that, hence all the expensive absorption panels in recording studios. The audio in your video "I Gave You Guys INCORRECT Information! 🦐" sounds way clearer, even though there is also some sort of noise reduction applied. Now I don't know if you were using the same microphone back then but you might want to resort to how you had that set up, minus the noise reduction. Otherwise you would have to glue acoustic foam everywhere you can and I would guess that that is not a real option for you.

Hi, Thanks for the advice. I’m recording a video tonight for release on 8th January. I’ll switch off the noise reduction setting and see if that helps. I agree about the acoustic foam-it’s on my to-do list. I’ll also take a look at the "I Was Wrong" video to check what settings I used. Your help is much appreciated. If you’d like a free digital copy of my book, just email me at info@fishkeepinganswers.com, and I’ll send a copy over to you. Thanks again, Richard

Can you make a video about how you clean your shrimp tank and what you use to suck up the shrimp poop?
@FishKeepingAnswers4 күн бұрын
That’s a great video suggestion. Thank you. Leave it with me.

7:25 Hold up, did you say 4 THOUSAND oak leaves?! Apparently I'm bad at UK accents today, and possibly sarcasm 😅 Lovely explanation, excellent outro ❤ I'm hoping for a future video regarding how much oxygen exchange or air bubbles are needed for neocaridina, per tank size or population, at least how to tell if you've got enough vs not enough and you're shrimp are about to die. I've been very slowly decreasing an air stone that I think may be overkill with the idea of relying on the curved top of the sponge filter for circulation in my heavily planted 20gal/76 liter. Keeping a close eye on my RCS and a few other residents 🤞 'Course, I think they all act kinda looney on a good day 😅

😂 I’ll be honest, I didn’t count the leaves as I put them in, and 4,000 MIGHT be an exaggeration 🤔😂🤣😂

I haver been trying to keep neocaridina, especialy de green ones. The problem is that here in Brazil ITS hard to get the shrimp, there are only the normal color, red yellow black blue. Do you have any information about the color outcome from breeding each color of shrimp? I cant find literature on the topic

Hi. Sadly this is beyond my area of expertise. There are charts available online but I am not sure how accurate they are.

I decided to use an air stone in the shrimp jar I set up. I was thinking about getting a small canister filter, but they are so expensive. I found out the hard way that spider wood will stink up the water real fast! lol

I truly believe EVERY fish and shrimp tank should have an air stone 🤔
@MandyJane1237005 күн бұрын
@@FishKeepingAnswers My original shrimp tank has a sponge filter (with an air stone inside) that seems to be their favorite spot in the tank. Probably all the good bacteria film to snack on.

While the topics may repeat a bit , I find different points highlighted. I find them all worth watching, as I learn something from each one. Regarding repeating topics, how many areas can be explored, even if the latest research is incorporated:? I suspect this is why most channels are more generally focused.
