Can you go more in depth on the dos. Like how to do such things like pitching

Great video though was kinda hoping for a little bit more advanced tips and specific do's and don'ts, perhaps more about standing out of the competition and marketing yourself, you know? This is more for beginners that havent begun if that makes sense. thank you though for repeating great points that everyone in the industy should know!! Love your work :)

So how can I do this. I want to do portraits, product, food and nature photography. Do I need a separate Facebook page for all 4 genres? This is why I wish I knew someone to talk to.

Do you have a recommendation regarding contracts with companies? I'm completely confused with this topic 😅 Do companies have a contract or do I need one? If I need one what's important to clarify etc?
@KayleighJune3 жыл бұрын
Oooh this is always a tricky question! I'm always a little bit hesitant to offer advice on contracts as I usually recommend that every freelancer find a solicitor or seek legal advice for their businesses. However before I signed with my agency I'd usually have something in place in terms of payment or what was specified in the brief/job outline. It can be very different for every job that you do though, so I'd recommend seeking personalised advice 😀

Also is it necessary to go to college for photography?

There's certainly a lot more to learn! The learning curve is very steep and one might feel they're at the top after climbing 10% of the way up.

Do not build up equipment TOO fast, but you will need most of it down the road. Do not underestimate the power of a white piece of paper to bounce light. DIY everything until you can afford the actual object! Expect crickets for the first few years unless you are already rich, and are a socialite.
