Steps: 1.Shade it with a light pencil 2.add a shadows with a darker pencil 3.blend it with a tissue 4.add the strokes of the hair with a more darker pencil 5.use a small eraser and add some highlights 6. darken the shadow you made 7. Blend it with a blending stump 8. Then add stroke on the shadow And done!💜 I hope it works for you guys😊💜

i know its a lot harder to draw realistically so its easy to pretend you dislike the more difficult method and prefer the simplistic one.unfortunately human nature is very predictable,and we all understand you prefer the realistic hair but do not have either the patience or skill to orchestrate a proper example of realism. its similar to the human nature of pretending something they bought cheaply is the best example of that thing in the world to somehow self justify the wrong purchase instead of admitting to buying something substandard because of lack of funds,again humans are ridiculously predictable in behaviour the dont side is o.k but it definitely is an example of more unrealistic,cartoon hair that just about anyone who can hold a pencil can recreate.realism=difficult cartoonish=simple and fast=easy

Nice! May I suggest a future video, or videos, of some slowed down pencil/marker stroke techniques and the kinds of effects different strokes create? You mentioned here the differences kind of a scribble where you go back and forth without lifting the pencil, and the proper way of single line strokes where you lift the pencil. I just think it would be cool to see that type of thing slowed down and elaborated on - perhaps with hair and fur and skin maybe. I know you've done those, but I guess I love watching your videos so a half hour of average speed or slow pencil stroke tutorials would be sweet to me!

Kirsty you're such an amazing teacher as well as a brilliant artist! I've just been teaching my stepson a few little pointers to help with his gcse artwork. The skills he has have been tremendously hampered by the lack of good teaching he should have been given by his art teacher. As I was helping him it dawned on me how many of the tips I gave him came from yourself. I'm 44 and I've done the gcse a level foundation art and even began a degree in art( although I dropped out- real artists are drop outs!Hahaha!🤣) and yet here I am quoting your tips. It just showed me how the education system in England in terms of art hasn't altered as is a very poor standard. I think you should look into getting the art education here shook up and updated so basic skills are taught. Thank you so much for all your videos they've definitely improved mine and now my stepsons ability to create pieces of work that we are much more happy with!💖💖💖

Tfw the "Don'ts" hair is x40 better than how you draw it -__-
@i_sulfat7 жыл бұрын
I'd much rather prefer the Don'ts side since it looks much more abstract and different.
@astodone90227 жыл бұрын
I know the "Do's" is fantastic, it just seems like Kristy can't even draw badly even if she wanted to considering that the "Don'ts" also looks good .-.
@Saasan7 жыл бұрын
The key is this is how to draw *Realistic* hair, in which case the "Do's" is definitely better. You're free to enjoy the other hair more, though! ^_^

I have a question please respond. How do you know what angle to put the strands of hair and where to stop?
@FuschelChan7 жыл бұрын
I guess it's practice, as with pretty much everything. Take Pictures of hair, look at it how the hair flows and then try to imitate the drawing. After a time, you'll get a grip on how hair usually grows and in which direction it goes etc.

Art Do's and don't are the reason I signed in KZbin. Great art❤

In my opinion in art there are no don'ts and do's. Everyone has their own style so there are no wrong ways to draw or paint.
@user-zz4hx8nr7b7 жыл бұрын
I think they meant in realistic art. Realism is pretty strict. The do's look a lot more realistic than the don'ts

This is really great! I'm a not-so-good self-taught artist, i'm trying to get batter. But i don't think talking myself down helps me. I'm not as old as you so i guess i need to work on my drawing skills more, but your videos help me a lot!

This really opened my mind to the mistakes I've been making and I'm about to give it a go!! Thank you for making this awesome vid! Love your work, too, you're so talented!!🧡✏📖🙏🧡
