Hey love I’m new to your channel. I am I loctician in atl and I think your pic are gorgeous. The reason your locs are not maturing quickly is because you’re using conditioner. The purpose of conditioner is to detangle and with locs we want our hair to tangle, using conditioner slows down that process. An alternative solution would be to use rose water spray for moisture. Oddly enough, I was JUST asking myself this today. I have the holes as well. The only thing I could think of was to interlock the holes. I think I’ll think on it another week or two. ~ I think your hair is gorgeous! It looks like the perfect amount!

Hey girl, love seeing your content. I too would leave the ends in tact my friend and focus on the holes higher up. Budding and tangling should take care of the rest. I just made 3 months and I have never styled my hair, but I want to add loc gems so bad but I’m impatiently waiting lol. Your locs look gorgeous just revert back to less is more for now and you will be fine IMHO! I had approx 180 micro locs, not as small as yours but I am going to guess you have about 380 locs.

Yes… thought about henna my mother use to use that. Not sure how dark pigmented it’ll get… but when that time comes I’m open. This gray is springing up like weeds!!!😆 Thanks for tuning in❤️

I like you ! I feel everything you are saying . I been loccd almost a month this week and mine are small like yours . I’m like should I had did them bigger , idk if I want to maintain with palm rolling or retire . I don’t have the patience for reties 😭 I’m learning tho and it’s definitely a journey . The imperfections make the process worth it . I feel like we can only help guide our hair and she gone do what she pleases . It’s beautiful because the journey is yours . Loving mine so far . I’ve had microlocs for a year and a half and I was told not to use conditioner before they loc idk if that’s why your hair is unraveling but maybe that’s the problem

Thanks for tuning in! Yes softening my hair with the leave-in could have definitely contributed. I use it sparingly diluted with water but obviously sacrificed softness for unraveling. These Loc babies are coming around… update soon! Come back for my progress❤️
