Intergenerational trauma is a real thing that hopefully this gen can recognise it and stop the vicious cycle. Yes no mum is perfect and yes we all should be grateful for all the hard work our mum has done. but also, there are alot of unconscious things that mums carry and pass on. As a child, i def didnt like my mum as much as she was always naggy and always in a bad mood. but now as an adult, and i see more examples of people around me, i can now understand why she was like that. Mums have to work and take care of the home and the kids. dads on the other hand may not have such a large role in helping out as equally. furthermore, asian men in particular are not very affectionate in obvious ways. so women can very frustrated in life when they are doing all the work and they are not being recognised. thus they may take it out on the kids and this is also where men start viewing the women as 'crazy bitches'. now my mum is divorced and so much more happier and nice to be around. again not the kids fault and yes i see why the mum is like that which isnt entirely her fault but its just how our society is built. thankfully nowadays we can seek therapy to sort through these emotions and feelings to hopefully handle them better. or else , my solution is to not bring in kids into this world to pass on more intergenerational trauma to. another solution of mine is to change my mindset about love to think that i do not need physical affection or words of affirmation.

Don’t have kids is the best la. Having kids nowadays is as if you like own to them like that. Might as well take all money and enjoy life better. Or rather you have a kid that grows up to lecture you about human rights.

🙏 We are not alone in imperfect upbringing in this imperfect & temporal world 🌍 ... Karma is a Complex Subject ... Wise & more knowledgeable Gurus taught that , we have had been in these cycles of Births , Ageing , Sickness & Deaths for Billions of Times in these Six Realms of Samsara ( Sufferings ) ... So we can imagine the amount of Karma accumulated ( Stored Energies in our consciousness from our actions that manifest in due time in physical forms ) playing out their flux from these cause & effect in our temporal & karma based lives ... 🙏 Practicing Universal Loving Kindness & Compassion with Wisdom & Forgiveness for them & for ourselves can lead us towards the journey of recovery ... 🕯🌷🌿🌍💜🕊

It's the mother has to do the first step, not the child. The mom. Children take example from their parents, so naturally the children will repeat the same behaviour Of course, the children can do the first step, but it is exremely difficult when you have no good examples from your parents, even worse if they ever mistreated you You're either kind of apathetic or you have no idea what's it's like to be in an abusive hoursehold

Parents need to lead by example, not just empty talks. It is easier to criticize your own child than to point your child to enlightenment.

My dad is a distant one but EQ wise at least he won't offend others with his words unlike my mum.
