Probably on shady websites, but not on regulated websites. I used to believe this also because I heard someone on KZbin saying that online casinos analyze your betting patterns and select winning numbers outside of your regular betting patterns, but after 10 years of playing online, I realize that it's just simply not true. Stick to regulated websites from reputable companies like Caesars or MGM. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. It's all part of the game.

Digital games can also refer to any electronic roulette game at a casino that's not being physically controlled by a croupier, and yes I believe those can be influenced by bets. There's just no way for anyone other than the software developer and casino management to know otherwise unless you could either steal the physical machine or hack into it - both of which are very unlikely.

Instead of betting on the chop why not follow the streak? Of course, the trick then becomes deciding on what is streaking I guess, but would be interesting to run through the simulator.

Martingale works until you are very lucky and have 7 losses in a row...if you started at $100 you will have to bet $6400....this is why you don't do Direct Martingale....you spread it with levels....just in case....

Very, very interesting. However, I would like to see this test repeated with both colors after hitting three times each in a row. In other words, wait for ANY color to repeat three times in a row and bet the opposite color, doubling on losses until it hit. Then wait for ANY color to repeat three times and go again. Don't just do Red. Do any color that repeats. Ideally you could incorporate any three time repeat, Odd, Even, Black, Red etc. so you are always betting. Also increase bankroll to always be able to reach the max table limit on betting if needed. Set a cash out goal as a target and repeat trials to see how many times you hit your cash out goal as well as the winning %. These results would be interesting.

As a Mathematician you know waiting for streaks makes zero difference. As you say the wheel has no memory. People who believe this are confusing the probability of something that has already happened, with future events. It does not matter in sampling with replacement. Take the silly example of a person who throws head 50 times in a row, with an unbiased coin. Their probability of hitting heads again is still 50/50 and has not changed. This didnt need a simulator to prove this.

Should you not get half your money back when you hit 0 because you are playing on French roulette table?..Maybe the calculation is a bit wrong? ( see the illustration 9.56 you hit green 0 twice?)

i've been playing on a practice site for awhile now, you can risk a little to win a lot with lousy odds or you can risk a lot to win a little with great odds, for example if you cover 0/00/2 (American wheel) plus take 2nd and 3rd dozen you have 27 slots to land in and dealer only has 11. that's pretty good odds. everything in roulette depends on the min/max bets allowed. i haven't played online for real money yet but i'm stunned that they allow such low min bets, anyone have an opinion on online casino,s ?, can they be trusted ?

i kinda do the same thing but with dozens, i'll play 2/3 dozens when a particular dozen hits, for example if it hits 1st dozen 4 times in a row i'll play the 2nd and 3rd betting that it won't continue to land in 1st.

Two people making separate bets can’t do anything to lower the house edge. For every $1000 you bet, you’re going to lose $52.60 on average, and you’ll receive about $10.52 of that back in comps…if you’re lucky.

From past expiernces its much easier then earning comp points as I won two free cruises on my last trip. Do you have a system that you would recommend for a high average well maximizing time at the table? Weather it be one system we both play or two separate systems?

@@Kevgodee In general, I'm against using strategies that revolve around trying to earn more comps for the sake of earning comps. For the most part, if "playing for comps" means you have to play at a level that is above your means, it's going to cost you 4x what you earn in comps, which can be devastating. For your rating, it helps if you bet the same amount consistently, though. It's better to bet $100 per spin than $5 on one spin and $1000 on the next. And you may get better bang for your buck if you bet larger in the beginning then lower your bets after the pit boss enters your average bet size in their computer (assuming that's how they track your play).

Well for me when betting on even chance I choose to follow the winner. The reason is simple. If u bet on opposites and a streak is about to occur u will keep doubling and doubling. But if u follow winners and a streak is about to start u can catch it and win.

Playing the Martingale is all about probability. The probability of winning an outside bet is always about 47% on a double zero wheel. The probability of losing a 6 bet progression is 2.1%. Waiting for a 3 streak and then betting means the streak has to go 9 times which is 0.3%. Now the problem with standard Martingale is that you only win 1 unit as compared to losing 63 on a 6 bet progression. Now losing 6 in a row happens 1 in 47 times, so let’s say the math holds you would win 46 units and lose 63. A 9 streak is 1 in 323 so you would win 322 and lose 63. That’s a good return but remember, yes you saw 3 happen but you’re still betting on the next 6.

Based on your system for a nine streak you wouldn't win 322 for every 63 losses because you are not winning any money on the first three possibilities of winning. Because you are not betting any money on the first three spins of all 9 streaks that occur on average you are only betting on about 13.5% of the possible 322 wins. This results to about 44 wins for every 63 losses.

I was thinking that if say you can double 10x and you wait until a series of 10 comes it should help your odds a bit because it is a far outlier. Of course you should stop when you start to approach odds of it coming again or 80% of bet amount risked

just to be clear, on your simulator, when you have a goal of 25% profit, you run the spins until you reach that goal then stop. so you say your simulator runs 1000 spins but realistically if you were to hit your goal earlier than 1000 spins you would have stopped. so doesnt your extra spins cause your simulator to give bad numbers for that scenario?

No, it doesn’t stop at 1000 spins. I do at least 5000 “trials” for each goal. Hit the goal or bust.

Once it hits the goal, it stops and moves on to the next trial. That is treated as a success. If it can’t afford to make the next bet, it fails and moves on to the next trial.

I play the system called play like a pro, using all six outside bets. If two red, or two odd, or two low hit I’ll bet opposite. And sometimes I’m betting one bet sometimes three. If the wheel results doesn’t give me any bets, meaning no bets or bet against I’ll bet the two dozens that did not hit last. Hope that makes sense lol

The "Roulette Master" showed an interesting streak betting plan. He only bet on the first two dozen. After a third dozen would hit he would quit betting until a first or second dozen would hit. Then he would increase his bet by one unit and bet on the first two dozen. He would go back to a single unit bet on both the first two dozen after he reached a new session high. This system will eliminate multiple losses in a row from the third dozen and will reap the benefits off a streak of wins on either the first or second dozen.

I don't think waiting does anything to improve (or hurt) your expected win statistically. I can set up a simulation for the above scenario and I am quite certain that there will be no change in your success rate whether you wait or not. If you like that system and want to play that way, that's fine, too. Play whatever way makes you happy. I'm just telling you what I can observe and even prove with computer simulated models.

@@JackAceDotCom Yes, I am a firm believer that betting on past patterns is the fools game like you always state --Some say Roulette is the fools game Grin. My warped mind logic says there will be streaks of first twelve, second twelve, and third twelve. If I limit my bets to always first and second twelve I will never lose several in a row of third twelve. Another option is always betting Black and after a Red waiting until a black hits. Yes you will lose on brbrbrbrbr but you will limit to one loss on rr, rrr, rrrr, rrrrr, etc. And you will win on any bb, bbb, bbbb, bbbbbb etc. Thank you for responding. I appreciate your approach.

Question for Jack. Do you suspect that the digital machines at the big casinos in Las Vegas are possibly influenced by the size of the bet? In a Multiple player roulette setting is it cheating and making the large bets lose?

I don't think you would get cheated in any casino in Nevada. The Nevada Gaming Control Board is pretty strict in their regulation of all machines across the state. I don't think you'd get cheated by a Vegas/Nevada electronic game. Tribal casinos on the other hand... Many of them are self-regulated, so it's unclear whether their regulators have any incentive to bite the hand that feeds them.

​@JackAce I agree with that, although I have seen in Tribal casinos people win $3-5 thousand regularly. Over the years I have cone to realize that casinos don't have to cheat. People are quite good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory all by themselves. Greed, fear, and just plain stupidity all help the casino.

It's simulators like this that casinos use to vet games to see if they are worthy of being inside the casino. It's in the same way players who theorycraft strategies use simulators like this to see if their concepts hold merit over long term. Everyone wants to win, some strats are just for burning time and earn comps some are get rich quick just depends on your goal. If your looking to always win, don't gamble, or become a casino dealer so you always play with an advantage, simple.

I believe waiting for 3 reds before betting on black for example will decrease the probability of it still landing on red. Think about it, 7 reds is more common than 10 reds. Probability is real. 10 reds won't happen often, but by waiting, it gives you more buffer.

So if you are always going to lose the expected value how is it that there thousands of winning pro gamblers in Las Vegas alone? I play many negative expectation games (roulette, craps, baccarat) but but somehow come out positive. A youtuber named DGE plays craps and steadily makes a good amount of money. Plug his strategy into your simulator and see what happens. Much like you many math guys say the dice do not have a memory which they refer to as a gamblers fallacy. However, casinos make their money using odds and probability so why can't we do the same! There seems to be two camps here, 1 is the math guys and 2 are the professional gamblers. But the gamblers are making a good amount of lettuce. I like your simulator and your videos but it is not so black and white!

You do not come out positive over the long run. The casino has the edge using 0 or 00 and in setting table limits etc. Poker and Blackjack (counting cards) are two exceptions where skill may overcome the casino edge.
