Do Thais Watch BL Series? | Who’s their fav BL couple? | Share with Hans Ep2

I think there are so many series/lakorn for Thais to watch. All the TV channels produce heaps of these shows and it's not possible to watch all of them. So the BL series are more specific to a certain group of viewers. I watched BL, but I don't really watch mainstream series. When my foreign friends asked me about those series, I had no idea about them either. Well...I heard about them thought haha :P About LGBT in Thailand..... I guess Thais would say, we live our lives, we don't like others to live our lives :) If LGBT don't mess with other people's lives, why would other interfere with LGBT's lives. Mutual respect! That's true. Most thai people watch Ch. 7 and Ch. 3 on their regular straight Lakorn. BL only target small group of people like LGBT and teens.

I think lgbtq related series doesn't usually aired in a mainstream medias there in Thailand same here in the Philippines, they have their own platform and that is GMMTV I guess (not sure but that's what I've heard and it does not broadcast in the mainstream only in gmmtv, line tv and YT and with their other partners)

Any BL issues are very common for thai people and culture. Because BL people are in our daily life such as school, office, teachers, food seller, university, department store, along the streets, neighbor or people in the same village. Thai people treat them like normal that's why BL series is normal for us.☺️

I'm Thai I can answer this, since many many things in Thailand are amazing, The BL series are not amazing to us. It's one of the normal series here. Same sex relationship is quite normal here esp in big bangkok I see tomboy and girl hold hands almost everyday in BTS and gay men couple they walk together but hardly seen holding hands but they can hold hands if they want to, thai people never object to that . It does not counter our culture which is very open and accepting the diversity of people since ayuthaya dynasty.

Boys Love Stories in Thailand has been in their Industry for more than a decade. My Aunt said that Thai people are no longer shookt with BL series because it existed in Thai Entertainment since 1996 maybe that's why they don't hype and surprised anymore.

What i can conclude is, most of them know or familiar with these bl actors but not a fan or watch those bl series, they might have seen on twitter and other social media from their friends. Some of them watch it casually, not as a bl fan. So i guess, bl series in Thai are watched by certain people, just not all of them watch it. So basically in thailand people know about bl serries but are not fans (though respect the genre). I also don't know alot of celebrities from my country but I know tons of international celebrities. Well yeah it's normal.

As an Interfan, we get less Lakorn and more BL, so that is what we know. If you ask an interfan to name a Lakorn star, unless he was in a BL at some point we wouldn't know the names. Joss, Ohm and Great are all I know. And see some BL actors heading to Lakorns lately Off, Gulf. Fluke have been seen in some. Those Lakorns are addictive too, the ones I did get to see here are worth it.
