I'm a Muslim that was taught that Ismailis are Muslims, but just follow a different Imamat. I had an Ismaili friend in high school, and visited him at his house. On his mantle, he had a picture of a random, smiling white man that looked nothing like his family, so naturally I asked "who is this". He answered me "this is God". Astughfirullah!!! I thought he was joking, but he was dead serious. It was an image of Karim Agha Khan. May Allah guide us all.

There is no mention of Tariqah of Salat (namaz) in Quran. Ismailis do believe in Shariyah, to them Shariyah is fluid, it is not rigid or constant. Islam is not just name of Fasting, Hajj or Zakat. Islam is complete way of life. In Islam ethical values and humanity comes first. Huqququl ibaad are must. To help humanity is a worthy cause. The charitable work done by Ismailis and their Imam is neglected, there is only focus on Namaz, Hajj, and Zakat.

Differences are not deficits!! Our Imam is the sole interpreter of Quran. To answer to the question raised about Ismailis being secretive, that is not the case. However, the reason why there are no written documents and information about the history, it is because the imams and his followers were hunted and the first thing the sunis would do is to burn the libraries. It is about God directly talking to you and covenant makes with each and every person who follows the Straight Path, path of Prophets. It does not talk about history and how many cows or sheep's get looted, names of forefathers, names of kings. It is about wisdom and what to gain from the historical lessons of the past Nations. See the examples of Joseph and his brothers history between the Quran and the Bible. They are very close yet so different. One is about History narrated by human, the other makes you cry.

There are other hints that God will raise them again and send them new Prophet whom then they will have a chance to either reject or follow. Basically it comes down to why we are here. We are here because we choose to be here. We have known perhaps what Paradise is, outside of our human souls, and we choose to be here, be tested so that we can get that price, the best of what God gives. What is in a Paradise? Something that no human eye have seen, no human ere has heard, and has never come to the brain of any human. Totally outside of human capacity. It is like being told what the world looks like when you were in your mother's wombs. God gives is something we can relate to. What we do treasure, or love? Family, children, life of ease, long life, companionship, etc. Imagine if we knew this, nobody would work a day and enjoy an hour, It would be waste to us all. We would be all praying and doing what we were raised to be till death. God created us with all this knowledge hidden. We are created on the same level, playing field to start our tests in this world. 32:15 The only ˹true˺ believers in Our revelation are those who-when it is recited to them-fall into prostration and glorify the praises of their Lord and are not too proud. 32:16 They abandon their beds, invoking their Lord with hope and fear, and donate from what We have provided for them. 32:17 *No soul can imagine what delights are kept in store for them as a reward for what they used to do.* What we are talking about is the supreme reward of God to his servants, Prophets, people who have struggled his path, tailed and prosecuted. When God loves somebody, he does not give them this world, he give them to only living that is real and count, hereafter. 41:30 Surely those who say, “Our Lord is God,” and then remain steadfast, the angels descend upon them,1 ˹saying,˺ “Do not fear, nor grieve. Rather, rejoice in the good news of Paradise, which you have been promised. 41:31 We are your supporters in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. *There you will have whatever your souls desire, and there you will have whatever you ask for:* 41:32 an accommodation from the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful ˹Lord˺.” in Conclusion, indeed when God loves somebody, he makes them understand the reality of this world. He makes them understand that this life is not worthy of living if not for the purpose they were raised for. Islam is not new. Islam is the same path and message God sent to all Prophets. What makes Quran different is that first it applies to all people instead of say people of Noah or Israelites, its affects last through the ages, and it is something every human can relates to. Quran talks to the natures of Man. It knows what motivates, worries, moves, etc because it is from the God of man. From my part, I wish you Good luck for your enquiry. It does not make sense to us that we get a waken in the middle of the Mall, Earth, with out knowing why we are in the Mall, why are we get recalled, death, and what is ahead of us, after death. I invite you to read Quran with open mind. By the time you finish, you will know if this is a serious book or not. If is not, then you have saved yourself, I guess, from being serious. @Konshens Kodialwall Before Prophet Mohamed SAW message, all Messages of prophets used to be local. Meaning, Moses was sent to Jews only. Noah for Noah people, Jesus for Jews only, etc. God is not going to punish the people of Greece for example because they did not know and did not get the message of Jesus. It was for them. God will deal with them different vs the Jews who heard and refused the message. This limitation of message to particular people changed with Prophet Mohamed SAW. Prophet Mohamed Message is for all People though. Why? First here is the reference: 34:28 *We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a deliverer of good news and a warner to all of humanity, but most people do not know.* Why, first God knows the reasons fully well why. These are my tries. They are some shared by many people. 1. Era were Prophet could make difference was coming to an end. Imagine if a Prophet was to come now, with people fully armed to their teeth with Nuclear weapons, how much could a human Messenger do? A. He is to create a nation that is an example to humanity. B. He is to spread God's justice and message to the earth and fight those who fight them, defend. It is guaranteed that he is going to bloody opposition as people, elite never like somebody who challenges them. C. He is to be human, human strive, human power, if he was given powers to move mountains, he is not going to be relatable to the average. He will not be used as an example to look up to. 2. Era of written message was coming. Before, there was hardly and chance if any it is was limited. at that time, it finally was in human reach. Quran is preserved both orally and written message. We have writing from the first century. 3. Quran is revealed in Language that gives justice to God's message. Ishmael was no Arab. He was from Iraq just as was Isaac. Why God sent him to be mixed with Arabs in the desert while Promising him to raise Nation from his children? This was not because Abraham was child abusing, child abandoner. He was the friend of God. This is not told by the Bible but you should understand this from who Abraham was. It was an order. It should make you think. Arabic is indeed unraveled, not equal to any other language. For example, English has 600,000 or so words. Arabic has over 12, 000, 000. Arabic in visual language. Words describe something people see. Words have roots. Arabic has over 12 words for love. People when they read Quran, it is as if they are living through it.

Like the above says, he categorially rejected to preach to others and said I was only sent to Lost Sheep on Israel? Why? Because he was their last Messenger. Have you seen anybody who come after him for Jews? There were many, many Prophets before him for the Jews. You dont know need to know Arab to get the message of God. You already got it and believe me, you will be asked. True, to interpret and deduce you will need to learn Arabic. It is a plus not a minus. Do you have a single sentance of what Jesus said in his language? No. What makes you think the small portion of the bible that is from him, see red text Bible, barely 2 page content if you remove duplicates are really as they were from original language of Jesus. There is really something called "Lost in Translation". If you consider that the culture of Jews and the culture of the Greeko-Roman world are polar opposites. Greeks and Romans took over reformist Judaism brought by Jesus and made it something called Christianity, making it a religion with places of worship, days of worship, books, etc, things Jesus not knew. Not only him but also his disciples. None one on earth now has or know for sure exactly what Jesus preached. Forgot about that, we dont even know Jesus prior to his last three years. On the other hand, Quran can be learned by anybody. Even you can master it in few years if you give the effort. If you dont want, then english translation of Islamic sources can be enough for you like majority of Muslims.

@@nasali4817 Brother , I just visited GilGit Baltistan and saw the beautiful community of people , level of education nd cleanliness. It looked so nice. So wanted to research more about the ismailism , but its very different then mainstream Islam , Like Masjid is our common place of worship and numaz with very little variation is prayed almost the same time all over the world facing the Qibla (Kabba) 5 times a day , 5 prayers with common Rakkat . If there is no concept of Mosque , or Qibla , I think there won't be any concept of Hajj even , am just wondering.
