Simmons is a vet waiting to pick best situation for himself and miss out on unnecessary wear and tear during preseason camps He will be starting FS for a top team this year while not us

Simmons would be a super cool pick up but I think DeMeco and Nick trust their process and ability to mold players and help them reach their potential. I am super excited for our run to the chip 🤘🏽

All super valid points. Only thing that may “force” their hand is Pitre moving to NB/star role. But I agree the timing isn’t right.

Pitre got benched & ward is an older vet coming off injury. Simmons or Quandre Diggs are a must! Sting can't do it all himself

I was disagreeing with you until the final 2 points. I agree that Simmons probably wants to avoid camp and the Texans need to get a better idea of where their current group is at but I still think Simmons is a need based on Ward's health and Murray's performance history

I reLlt like the red houston football cap. Simetimes the player doesn't wanr to sign right away. A guy like Simmons might bit want to camp, he might be waiting for injury and the possibility of a more lucrative deal. Who knows, but as always I like your takes

I don't think it makes any sense for them to bring in Simmons either. The team is already here as far as day 1 starters. I also like the luxury of the cap space and with a week 14 BYE, you never know what we might need come mid-late season. Gonna be a VERY tough schedule and like having the $ in our back pocket
