Do you plan on publishing low-content books in 2025, either as a passive income stream or a marketing tool in your business? Let me know!
@palominogirl27327 күн бұрын
Yes, I do plan on more low/medium content books, although I have two high-content ideas, but for now, Dec 4, 2024, I'm trying to get a few easier things up, since I just started this in mid-October. I have a horse word search, a blood pressure log book/journal, and I did have a couple notebooks from a couple years ago that I archived. I want to learn Affinity Designer so I can make really nice coloring and activity books as I go along, but right now have Canva editable interiors from Creative Fabrica, etc. just to get the hang of things.

Thanks for your comment! Affinity Designer is great. Bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of things it will speed up your processes quite a bit.

I really like your advice when you say to test other markets
@RachelHarrisonSund7 күн бұрын
Awesome! Do you have any markets in mind that you'd like to test?
@HustleAcademy-u1y7 күн бұрын
@@RachelHarrisonSund I want to test the French market and Germany market. I speak French but i do not speak Germany. I will outsource.

Medium content is just as over saturated since AI made it so easy to make pictures and short story's great vid boss 👍😎
@RachelHarrisonSund5 күн бұрын
The problem with AI is that it doesn't have ANY original ideas. So humans still have the advantage-for now. 😀

I could! I have so much material that could be a part of medium-level content!
@RachelHarrisonSund9 күн бұрын
That's great! Have you thought about how you might use that material in a medium-content book? So many possibilities for a creativity coach!
@BethBarany9 күн бұрын
@@RachelHarrisonSund Yes, I have thought about how I might use that material in a medium-content book. And yes, there are so many possibilities. I have your Low Content Academy material. Do you also cover guidance on medium-content books? My sticking point: the time+$ to create them so that they're truly usable, attractive, and worth the investment for me, i.e, sales are good. I could do a Kickstarter to pre-sell them, Or do some other kind of pre-order campaign. All projects require time/$ = worth-it concerns. :) So I have to pick things that I am super passionate about to see me through the ups and downs and massive uncertainties and risks.

I love your work and have been following you for a few years. This video is very helpful! One thing, I found myself getting motion sick from the rapid fire transitions and had to stop watching and only listen. The transitions are numerous and fast. I'm older so maybe that's why.

Thanks for the feedback, that's helpful! I'm experimenting with different editing styles right now, so it's great to know how it's being received. :)

Since KDP doesn’t have medium content as an option, does this material (such as the examples in your video) still need to be submitted as low content or is it enough to be considered in the standard category?
@RachelHarrisonSund8 күн бұрын
It's always best to refer to KDP's guidelines every time you publish to see if that particular book would be considered low-content by their standards. You can find it here: kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/GGE5T76TWKA85DJM

What made you decide to put "low content" in the title of the video?
@RachelHarrisonSund8 күн бұрын
It's sometimes vague as to whether or not a book might be considered low-content or not. Most people still say low-content even when they're making a book that would probably be considered more medium content. Also, I'd like to draw in the true low-content publishers to help them understand that focusing on medium content is a better way to go. There are still a lot of people who think it's easy to create huge incomes just by publishing hundreds of notebook, and that's not the case.

Great video!! Thank you for all these great tips!! I greatly appreciate you! I wonder if my niche is TOO specific and It will be hard to target those people. I did what the coloring book creator did... It's a word search for a specific target market. But maybe I will do well and I don't realize just how many in this market are out there. But now I feel my niche is like Tip #3... lol. I like Tip #4... networking! I can share my link in places in which I belong having to do w/ my niche. I did plan on sharing locally on my neighborhood pages. Maybe have a contest to get a free book. What's good about my niche is I can take it world wide. But by then... maybe I will be rich enough to pay others to translate for me LOL. My last issue right now is actually getting my first book finished. Every time I think I'm done... I find something that has to be fixed or I think of something else to add to make it better. I'm trying really hard now to get it done before Christmas. I'm doing this with very limited funds... basically for free lol. It took me MONTHS to save up for some software that I wanted to buy. My .75c domain renews in January so I'd like some sales by then at least to pay for the website's next year at $14. I'm trying to make my ROI as large as possible. ;-) Slow and steady wins the race I alway say!

Thanks so much for watching! I like the idea of sharing your book locally on your neighbourhood page. I never thought of that! Get the book out there-there will always be one last thing to fix, so just publish it and move on to the next. You can always upload a new cover or even interior file if you make any small changes.
@Kristinapedia9 күн бұрын
@ oh that’s good to know about uploading an interior file. I didnt know I could do that! Thanks!

@RachelHarrisonSund8 күн бұрын
Hi there! Creative Fabrica has great resources and great licences for low-content books. Like I say in the video, it's best to focus on medium-content books, as they provide more value and are generally less competitive.
