Do compression tests and check for low compression on each cylinder. Check spark plugs for oil on tip to confirm blow by. Issues could be rings, gaskets or even vacuum leaks. Stay thirsty my friends.

I have polo 1.2 tdi and smoke come from oil cap but car doesnt burn oil and he goes very good. Fuel consumption are good to. But i delete dpf filter and close egr valve. Is that the reason why he let smoke out of oil cap

The valve is located inside the whole cap so i replaced it but still the same problem. Consumption of oil at 12k km around 1l. I'm guessing I'm going to need new rings 🙂

I think it is normal for old car after car reach normal temperature range. Just try different oil which not lose any oil after few hundred km. Thin oil slip through piston ring create smoke and lost oil

For the conclusion, if the pcv valve is not cloged then it's time to do engine overhaul for piston replacing? Is that what you mean?

This will depend on the compression inside the cylinder, in this case it had to be done.

Hi, i have a f30 330d n57, 5w30 oil consumption until min short time after change, added 5w40 and oil level always at max, no loss of power but small amout of vapor coming out of dipstick and cap, very tiny pressure, any guess ?

In other words if it comes out dipstick and oil filler hole the smoke is in lower and upper part of engine hints piston ring he checked if it was pcv it smoked there too meaning it’s not pcv and it has flow
