While these are all useful, I think it is important to remember that you don't need to power your way through all the content right away. I know some people get bored when they run out of things to do, and if you pace yourself you can greatly extend that.

YES, overwhelmed! LOL! But thank you for this video. I just subscribed :) I'm new to DDV, and it's only my third "real" game ever, after ACNH and Fae Farm, so I don't know a LOT of stuff. I bought DDV last year, but only started playing two weeks ago, and now OMG there's so much new stuff coming and I. AM. NOT. READY. I'm low-key freaking out. Excited, but freaking out, because there's no way I will be remotely ready for any of it. I haven't even started decorating yet, other than moving fruit trees and bushes to one area for easier harvesting, I've just been grinding away on stuff. I realized pretty quick that I made some mistakes in the first day or two of playing (blowing through moonstones and changing dream shards into dreamlight, among other things), so I have some regrets, especially for not getting the Ultimate Edition with all the extra stuff, and not starting back at the beginning, since I've missed out on a lot of exclusives over the past year. I got the Standard Edition on Switch, not realizing the big in-game differences between editions at the time. The game seems to be extra buggy on Switch, as well. It crashes fairly frequently, I have a room in my house that only exists on the floor plan but is nowhere to be found in the actual house, my Premium Store is not working, things like that. So... I just tonight decided to get the Ultimate Edition on PS5 (borrowing my son's console when he's not using it), not only for the Ultimate Edition and everything that goes along with it, but to start over and avoid the mistakes I made early on. The problems with that are I've never used the PS5, so I have to learn a new system, and even though I've only been playing for a couple of weeks, I have progressed a decent amount through the game, which I will now have to start completely over and be even further behind coming up to the update. I so wish I could import all of the stuff in my storage, all of my progress, and all my coins to the PS5 (while somehow simultaneously eliminating the results of the mistakes I made), but... *sigh* I'm trying to remind myself to take my time and enjoy the game (like I tell my son all the time with his!), and that I don't have to work at it like it's a job or something, but I'm super compulsive when it comes to all this stuff (gee, I wonder where my son got that from???), so it's hard. I'm hoping making the change to PS5 and the Ultimate Edition will be worth the extra time/do-overs.

As a newer player I’m giving myself extra time to level up all the original characters and do the quests before getting the expansion. This is taking the pressure off me. I also want my laptop back before decorating as I find it easier. My laptop broken at moment so playing on husband’s Xbox. But pleased I can just play game at moment.

I've been wanting new biomes in DDV for so long I'm actually considering moving my main house over to the new Wild Tangle biome when I open it up. Another thing to do is finish the special Dreamlight achievements in the Fishing and Mining tabs for example.

I love those shelfs in your storage room! I agree with everything exept making polishing potions. They take dreamlight and everyone should be working on getting more.. They mentioned the expansion pass characters and Jack but there could be more characters they didn't mention behind doors or hidden locked by quess . They did that with 2 so far...😉 🎉. Either way I think dreamlight is gonna be a hot commodity period I do agree with making the chests that some also take dreamlight to make, and getting your Valley ready and getting all the quests done for those that haven't . I know there's a lot of new players this month and I have been sharing your videos cause I believe they're very helpful. I actually like the idea of rebuilding the Goofy's stalls, wishing wells, Scrooge's shop, and probably Remy's restaurant in the new area would be a great excuse to plant more pumpkins to get more money. At least that grind will keep us busy. Hopefully in the new Scrooge's shop we get new items we couldn't get in the original Valley; especially new clothes! And as for the new crops, I wonder if they're going to be more expensive than the pumpkins this time. Personally, I keep forgetting we're going to get a new item limit in the new Valley so we'll have as much room as we want for the pumpkins or the new crops that could give us more money than the pumpkins.

I tested something and it takes up to 75 Vitalys Crystals to get a character to level 10. So you should be fine with 300 ( or 100-200 extra just in case ) Vitalys Crystals

I’m working on building up resources. I don’t enjoy decorating. The way the game takes you back to the top of your inventory list when you place an item makes it so cumbersome. Does that happen on every platform?

I enjoy decorating, but this is definitely a pet peeve of mine. I also wish we could have a 'favourites' tab to quick find items we tend to use a lot, or at least have a search bar. I can't for the life of me remember all of the bajillion tabs on a specific item, so I tend to just click 'all' and spend five minutes scrolling.

Most of this I have done but there are a few things that could be better. I have like 150000 dreamlight and about 14 million in money but it doesn't feel like enough. My plaza is where I have scrooge shop and it's organized but empty. I haven't decorated more than putting flooring, some lights, a few houses, and a corner for the flowers. Plaza is the only one with the flowers looking nice. And I need to make more diggers to get certain material. I don't need any more fruit so I can remove that job. Finally I think I wanna make a second storage room. I have one for gems and another for all but I think separating stuff will help

I have a standard edition on switch and ultimate on Xbox and I can access all content on both. (Though purchased moonstones are platform locked) not the moat cost effective option but it can get you the extra content.

The switch won’t let us upgrade our games to a higher addition. It says you already have such and such addition. And if you have a second account you can’t put another (using cozy addition) cozy addition onto that account too. I ended up gifting the code to a player. You would think they would want the extra money if someone was willing to pay for 2 games like cozy addition.

@@sagegrantmusic I definitely understand what you mean. You're not slow ☺️. It took me a few challenges to get the hang of it and I still sometimes get frustrated when I decorate. Lol. What I've started doing (if you want a couple tips) is after reading the prompt I'll come up with a idea that'll fit the theme and decorate with the "Required Items" toggle turned off. Then when I'm done I'll check to see how many items I still need by taking a test shot and if I have the minimum I'll submit it but if I'm missing a few then I'll turn the toggle on and add to my "scene". I started doing this after the Earth and Air challenge. My average rank varies between 15,000-2,000 which is great in my book. Only a couple times I reached the 200's. For the most part I just try to have fun with it and try not to get so caught up in getting 4,000 moonstones every week. Imo, that ruins the vibe of the whole challenge. TLDR; Basically I don't worry about the required items until before submitting then sprinkle a few into my Dreamsnap if needed. With all that being said (sorry such a long comment) whether you submit the minimum or go all out, I wish you the best in racking up those free moonstones. 🤗

Any photo will automatically give you 300 moonstones. So you can submit a photo of a chair and still earn ms. Some moonstones are better than none.

I have 285,000 dreamlight 😂. Not use how I managed that! Moonstone not so good :(… and yep friendless. But my bad never good at remembering to add people. Though if it would allow someone decorate my valley for me I’d make sure to get some friends! I have no decorations savey 🫣 Oh am I’m still trying to level up Bell and Beast. 😮
