I would add that you should make sure your apps like Authenticator are correctly transferred over. It can be a pain if youve already cleared your old phone to get a lot of those things set up again.

Great video! Can you please make a video about how to set up an iPhone for Senior citizens? Making the text bigger, Maybe dive into helpful accessibility features in the settings that would make things easier, setting up shortcuts so they just have to tap one button to call someone, etc. I am trying to decide if it will be helpful to get my grandma an iPhone SE since she said her fingers hurt and she can't really open a standard flip phone.

Thanks for this. I'm 55 and HATE using iTunes for these changeovers. But honestly...do you have any IDEA how many younger, tech-oriented people--including those who work at the local store where I just bought my new phone...people who do these things as part of their job all week...don't understand the simple steps you just laid out here? I'll be going from a Galaxy S10+ to the 13 Pro Max. My last iphone was the 7 plus. I like to switch from android to ios every now and then. I dont think one is superior than the other. Both are good for different reasons and i like to switch it up. Thats about as exciting as my life gets 😅

I'm so happy that Apple made it possible to have 1TB of iCloud storage for 3 weeks when switching over to a new device (on iOS 15) I'm going to upgrade my XR to a 13 Pro Max! Very excited

Another good tip is to get a prorated refund on your AppleCare+ if you paid up in full for the coverage (and still have warranty left). You cannot transfer it to the new phone. You have to get the refund and re-buy coverage for the new iPhone.

You should add to have your hundreds of passwords on hand cause they will certainly be needed after transfer but other than that…this is exactly what I was looking for to make sure I don’t miss anything when the 15 ProMax comes out. Thanks

The question would be does iOS scan the transferred data for malware and anything untoward. I bought an iPhone and to be consistent with this decision, I don't want to import ANY google crap into my new iPhone. So I have to do it the long and hard way. Which is not covered here. Also a lot of people love iPhone but don't trust iCloud..
