I find it fascinating how many doll brands put so much detail into their dolls. Many of the dolls that were heavily detailed from when I was a kid got canceled. Monster high was by far the most detailed, however, monster high had no variety in body types, and were all very skinny unlike newer dolls. This is probably because those were the most common body molds that were available at the time

The skinny body worked well with the design and style of MH. They were not meant to be realistic. Some of the MH dolls have amazing body details (Ellee Eedee, Bonita Femur, Neighthan etc). They also all had different face molds. I don't mind if the bodies are the same, it is practical to redress the dolls.

if you don’t wanna lose meline’s curls use cooler /cold water and scrunch the hair in your hands as you wash her hair it will save the curls! i do that to all the girls who have curls and they’ve turned out stunning!

I know this video is a year old but here I am. When Rainbow and Shadow high dolls first came out I was skeptical. Coming from the huge success of Monster and Ever After High dolls and with so many other dolls riding the tailcoats I expected the same. But I'm so impressed with the level of care and detailing and individualism between the dolls and their accessories (the individual palette colors really got me), while still having a defined style. I also appreciate they're not overbranded like a lot of dolls, with the brand name plastered ALL over them, just hinted at. This is honestly the first time I've really considered collecting tthese guys. (Well and the first time I saw Rexx!)

I think Sabrina is such a beautiful doll wow she's stunning, although i'm not crazy about glam dresses like these. (The only ones I truly love are 90s Holiday Barbie big glam gowns) I like my dolls to have a little more of a punky aesthetic. Which is why I tend to lean to Shadow High a little more in general.

I love whenever anyone drops something off of a table it always ends in pain.. and I do not mean the "complications of having to finding the missing item" kind of pain but the hitting of the head, legs, blood rush to the head, etc etc. I am convinced a pain goblin lives underneath all artist/crafter/reviewer's tables. Lol Thanks for the review. Rainbow is still pumping out really beautiful dolls. There is no way I collecting all the dolls from them but I am super pleased to see that they are still taking pride in their designs and are excited about their own dolls and you can tell that they are putting work into the series (facial animation, songs, themes, styles). I don't expect everything to be 100% perfect but I atleast wanna look at a doll and feel inspired.

Thanks for the review! I also love that while all of the accessories were the same, they paid so much attention to the tiny details. And I love all three! I had the same sentiments upon seeing them here. (Love their face-ups, maroon/deep red-violet is kinda one of my favorite lipstick shades on dolls, and love the second outfits but uuugh the glitter rain! I cringed with sympathy; those socks are horrible. Wish I could feel the super soft coats ahhh...) My only addition is while I love Ayesha's strong contrast between her lovely platinum/silvery hair and outfits and her beautiful dark brown complexion, I feel like her eyes should've been a dark brown or maybe some other hue. I'm sure she's also like that in the main line but her bright orange eyes feel so out of place; it almost ruins her look for me when otherwise she might be my favorite. At least with Sabrina the bright blue-green eyes complements her coral/peachy pink color scheme and mid-tone tan skin. (And Meline's golden eyes blend in so much with her beautiful golden hair that I don't really notice; the uncommon color doesn't feel so overwhelming there.) 😂

I bought a mini curling iron for fixing the hair on BAB MLP dolls, but I could see either a mini or a hummingbird (the micro mini) curler would be good for fixing doll hair.

One thing I don't like about the rainbow high dolls is the arms. Specifically at the elbows. There’s a bend that you can't straighten out. Not without doing some joint construction.

I'm late with my comment so I don't know if you're going to even see it 😔 but I wanted to ask if you would consider making a video showing before and after of dolls that you've unboxed whose hair you've styled differently, like you mentioned here with Sabrina. You could show old footage of your unboxing videos of how they looked before and show new footage of how they came out, maybe show a bit of the process of one of them too? I know you've done videos on repair of older dolls (which are great!), so I'd like to see also how you do that with new dolls you want to be careful of to collect them and display them and see how these dolls end up looking once you've gone through them with your styling skills and your attention to detail! ♥ Anyway, don't know if you'll read this but I thought it was worth trying to reach out 😘

The strappy heels are always an issue. I wish they would carve a slit down the back so when slipping on the heel they won't snap. Those lil vinyl straps will eventually break with multiple outfit changes. That's my only complaint as the dolls are always beautiful and well quality made. I know that everyone has had thier share of love/hate relationship with the feather boa though.

I got Sabrina and Harley. Just want one from each. I love Sabrina! Mine didn’t get box hair but also her front hair wasn’t styled as well so, mine just seemed weird on that aspect. Also mine, her earrings won’t stay in as well. Like yours. Glad to see that. Harley, we’ll, I’m going to wait to see what you think of her. They don’t scream Diva but glad they are call such because on the show, the golden and silver girl are definitely Divas. Which makes me even happier I got Sabrina. I am skipping getting the Rainbow Divas, but Neon Shadow is pretty cool (Uma is my favorite of the Rainbow Vision dolls). I also have the Storm Twins and they are my personal favorite SH/RH dolls. The Twins are so breathtakingly beautiful with their clothing and their color scheme. I am sure that I am biased because I clearly love Veronica enough to have a profile pic of her, but you will not regret getting the Storm Twins.

@@ophelia_ortensia yeah, since they're seniors in their 4th year they are possibly 16, 17, 18 or even 19.. considering the possibility entering schooling earlier or failure in some years but the school also seems more like a college at times so you can headcanon it either way.. and drag isn't taboo or bad, I feel like people have this misconception about it based on how its presented in media.. if they feel representation in these dolls and want to headcanon it as such who are we to question this?
