What is truly astonishing is that this artist has such skill that she can draw with the pencil or pen far back in her hand in the crook of her thumb so that her thunb and knuckles obscure what is being drawn. This means she is so confident that what she does with hand and arm movement she could create these shapes blindfold. It's like any brain to hand and muscle-control skill, it becomes automatic when a tremendous amount of it has been done. Drawing has to become an extension of one's mind. Most concert pianists have put in at least 10 thousand hours of practice and development before they can confidently perform at top level. Art is just the same there are no shortcuts. But this video is extremely useful. Fascinating stuff.

Practice day 10: I can see some improvement in my circles and c- and s-curves. Connecting the dots became easier when I started to look at the dot I was going towards instead of following the tip of the pen with my eyes. The last two exercises still look pretty bad, but I am excited for the progress I have made already.

Hi Jessica! The brush really doesn't matter for warm up but I was probably using the sketching brush from my Illustration Bundle. www.genevievesdesignstudio.com/ultimate-illustration-bundle As for the canvas size, it's the first option in Procreate (iPad screen size) 😊
