What is truly astonishing is that this artist has such skill that she can draw with the pencil or pen far back in her hand in the crook of her thumb so that her thunb and knuckles obscure what is being drawn. This means she is so confident that what she does with hand and arm movement she could create these shapes blindfold. It's like any brain to hand and muscle-control skill, it becomes automatic when a tremendous amount of it has been done. Drawing has to become an extension of one's mind. Most concert pianists have put in at least 10 thousand hours of practice and development before they can confidently perform at top level. Art is just the same there are no shortcuts. But this video is extremely useful. Fascinating stuff.

I forgot to check what date I started doing this on but I've been doing it every day for about 3 weeks now and just wanted to say thank you :) I'm still not very good at most of it but it gets me started on drawing every day and I've been saving all of my warmups so I can look back and hopefully see an improvement in the future.
