Thx Alistair, for this video on Justin Roses practice drill. Playing golf since I was 10, I’m 71 now. This is absolutely the best drill I have tried, and I’ve tried them all. Easy to practice, like you said as long as you get your back to the target this drill gives you solid contact. A game changer. This is the best drill in golf Thx Steve

thank you. I was looking for a video that showed the hands working through the strike zone before they released the club. I will certainly try this drill.

Excellent video Alistair, I have one of those training aids and haven’t really put it to good use yet. But seeing Justin and watching your video makes a lot of sense. I can’t wait to try it on my next practice session. Keep up the great work. Andrew

Great one for me... certainly to get my backswing a touch shorter and controlled. Plus the added advantage of lower launch angle and getting those hips through as they should. Plus the Sam Fox chest to the sky as you said last week! ;)

Alistair, love this video, thank you. I have paid special attention to your club face at last parallel. Do you try and match this with your spine angle with this 'Justin Rose' move or do you let club come down more toe up to achieve the low to high strike pattern?
@adaviesgolf Жыл бұрын
Ideally matching spine, that’s the aim. Thanks

@@adaviesgolf tried this today at range with positive results.Thanks for sharing. Would you consider follow up video using driver?
@adaviesgolf Жыл бұрын
@@brianhughes2842 thanks, I would do the same with driver although only practice the exaggerated moves with an iron and let it influence your natural swing

Alistair! I've noticed how Justin Rose has this same "preshot routine' just prior to hitting his tee ball! It appears that he is going through a position check! I use a "preshot routine" to check my positions, but it's not quite involved as Justin's. A good recommendation for the average golfer Alistair! Good Job!!

Good one. Hopefully, Justin Rose will also watch this video and gets back to the winner circle!)

Thanks, think he knows this hence why he does the drill

I feel its more about getting the hands down and round to bring the face back and release through automatically

Can you use this drill for driving ??
@adaviesgolf Жыл бұрын
Yes but would advise irons and same concept with driver
@waynehartley482 Жыл бұрын
Well I did this today as my practice swing and of late my driving has been inconsistent to say the least but It's the best driving display I've had all year apart from one skied effort I found the more I could keep my shoulders closed the straighter I hit it Awesome
