Heat exchanger is pretty much an intercooler / radiator for a supercharger yea?

Pretty much yeah, keeps the coolant separate for the supercharger

A heat exchanger is just like a radiator, but it keeps your charge air temps lower like an intercooler. They are meant for water to air setups in forced induction cars.
