Do This To Avoid A Smelly Water Softener!

That's gross! Why does it do that!! It should run a clean cycle on the tank. Where is that gross water coming from???

Yes it is gross. I believe it cycles through the bottom as the salt softens the water

@@howtofixitworkshop smells like sewage back wash or something gross... very strange and gross how it does not flush or rinse any of this out...

Hi, I did clean my water softener tank in the summer. Now it is dirty again and the tap water smell is stinky. Is this is because of the softer or the salt?

If your tap water is stinky it could be from your water supply. When my softener gets dirty I haven't noticed that it makes out water throughout the house have an odor
