actually close enough that she needs to bend her ellbow a bit for slapping which is uncomfortable for fast movements. which she unconsciously will notice and more likely will step back instead of slapping you right away. Which gives you time to overthink your approach again.

Whenever i shake hands with women they almost appear to go soft even with guys they feel the strength. Women generally admire me after handshake, I guess they feel the strength just like guys admire women with soft and delicate hands. I have natural strong powerful hands and grip, my advice is to acquire it as strong clean hands with powerful grip will make women feel good about you, hope this helps
