Do this to increase the life of your water heater!

I'm replacing the pressure relief valve of this water heater and flushing sediment out with CLR. The water heater is leaking from the pressure relief valve and the water heater has not been heating water consistently.

I wish you would have show more of the final results. Was it acceptable in the end? I have a really bad limescale problem and I am wondering if doing this every so oftren would help.

It was good in the end. It took a while to flush out the CLR, but it was good

Use vinegar. Same result and leave it over night then flush. Less harmful to humans.
