I don’t blame them this is the first Pokémon game since OG diamond and pearl that I played SPOILER free! Prior to that I went into Pokémon games blind gen 1-3 was an elementary age kid at the time. And I advise anyone that think Pokémon is stale to challenge themselves and NOT spoil the game mechanics or anything it was difficult but it felt more rewarding to play the game this way. (Aka the way it’s meant to be played)

A better way for anyone watching is to walk/run them 7 times around the top of the lighthouse you see in the beginning of the game 7 times & it only takes like 2 minutes. It’s good because you can walk them at a normal pace & you can’t get far enough away to where it’ll despawn your mon. It is way more consistent then the pokecenter method (tried multiple times afking for like 40mins and checking to make sure they were still moving) and nothing but fails.

If you notice the pokemon not moving around after a couple circles, staying mounted on kiraidon/miraidon appears to be a key part of the exploit that makes them continuously path toward you. If you're on foot the AI is satisfied after a few moments and will stop moving.

I dismounted and was extremely confused why my Rellor would only run a lap or two before stopping, it seems like _just_ being on the roof is close enough that the pokemon pathing doesn't freak out, but the extra bit of height that Koraidon gives makes it enough that it loses track of you.

You can do this in cascarrafa (water gym) without high jump. Hop on the blue roof next to the center, throw the chosen pokemon on the roof, and jump from the edge. The pokemon runs off the roof without despawning and starts running in circles when I get next to the ledge. Enjoy the earlier evo!

You can pretty much do this from any platform that is floating and has space under or near you on the edge. Throw the pokeball with the ZR and it'll pop out and run towards you.

Yeah I went to the other center and jumped on the blue roof but I have to jump onto the chimbley and then I was able to make it. I released the Pokemon before I jumped on the roof and it worked.

Theres actually a way I think you can pull this off without the jump upgrade. At the entrance to Cascarrafa, there's a cyclizar parking area you can jump onto using a nearby wall that causes a similar circle effect. If I understand the idea, this should work as well.

You could also just crouch walk 2 times around Porto marinado. Or if they are on a balloon when swimming, you can swim full speed, not dashing, and they will stick with you. There are 2 rocks that I swim around near the Porto in a figure 8 pattern. Like a minute and a half to 2 minutes of that and they are ready to evolve.

You can do the 1000 steps if you walk nonstop for exactly 6 minutes. That is why I did and it worked. Just be careful to no bump into a Pokémon and start a battle. To not become impatient, I set up a timer with my phone.

Best location I found is the Cascarrafa (west) Pokémon station (the water gym) but instead of going on its roof, look across from it to the resting station for cycizar’s. Throw your Pokémon until it falls underneath you and it should keep running :)) my Pokémon typically wouldn’t stop, just move a tiny bit if it does fall asleep, I also stayed on Koraidon/miraidon, who ever you have, and my pawmo evolved into its last evolution in a short period of time. And it is safe for the people who don’t have all the upgrades for your riding Pokémon, good luck with the evolutions :)) Edit, if you wanna know, I also stood on the left edge where the cycizer is

Pokemon Center AFKing is not always that efficient for everyone, so another good thing to do is fly over to the Poco Path Lighthouse, climb to the top, and do about 6 to 7 loops around for each of them and it works perfectly!

If you want to do it manually for guarantee, ZR a walking pokemon at Los Platos, B to sneak. Walk up and down the straight path at Los Platos. Each length walked is about 120 steps. I go up and down 10x just for good measure. It doesn't actually take long. Sneak walking will ensure you never get far from your pokemon.

You can also surf to move at max speed( No dash) and they'll br fast enough to follow on water. It doesn't take really long and they do a pose when ready to evolve. That was they won't just randomly stop.

In the post game while you're filling out your Pokédex you can jump onto gyms and then just stand still and your Pokémon will run in circles around you if you clime up the cliff behind the Cascaraffa gym then Glide over to it works very well and it's the easiest to access you can use any building with a flat roof

(if ur curious, the triangle of the symbole on ground at acadamy gate, closest to acadamy is start point and the gate on opposite end of town is a straight shot and 250 steps

I found a better and more easier spot where the grass gym is. If you stand ontop of the red roof at the cyclizar parking thingie where the grass gym is and stand on the 4th one farthest the cyclizar sign. They dont require you to reset them if they stop moving and its a really easy jump only requiring you to jump once

The only issue with this is that when I tried it, sometimes the pokemon would stop, and I’d have to reposition myself, which got annoying. I found that other people were having the same issue, so when I did it again with the other two, I took a rubber band and put it around the two joysticks instead while my character was in an area they couldn’t run into any wile pokemon or get stuck anywhere. The joysticks were pulled together and my character and the pokemon then just started running in circles. I feel that this method is much better, because then you don’t have to check on the game, and the game also won’t close for being idol. Like I literally left the game to go to dinner and it was still running when I got back 😂

I found something similar but a lot less cheesy. Basically there's a set of stairs beside the fountain is Cascafara (water gym town) where walking up onto the step will cause your pokemon to run away down the waterway and then taking a step backwards has them run back to you. You have to wiggle back and forth but it's still handy.

I never see anyone talk about the method i used which is put an elastic band around both joysticks and walk away for a couple minutes. You'll run in circles and they wont despawn. When you come back level them up and bam theyll evolve

My method was to hatch eggs with them out. I can hatch the eggs and evolve them at the same time without it feeling like a dragged out event. I know the starters take 5000 steps normally, so I went until one hatched and then leveled up my Pokemon. It is more steps than needed, but it helped me make sure.

FYI you can do this trick before unlocking high jump, in Cortondo go to the opposite Center, right before it you will see a house with Barrels, Jump onto the Barrels then the house, jump up to the chimbley and then use it to jump onto the Centre, you do have to jump off the very edge but you can make it. I did this after watching this video and not being able to jump from the barrels to the Center. I did this before doing any Titan.

In my Pawmo case i just walked it through while i was capturing and doing some exploration near the 1st titan. By the time i realize it, he did the 1000 steps already. The easiest way is this yet, it take a little of time and patience while doing nothing (you just can be AFK and pray the pokemon doesn't stop). OR you just walk all the way to anywhere and by the time you realize it you had your 1000 steps.
