A good thing to note for raids: the catch rate is 100%. I have yet to fail a catch in raids even in 5 and 6 star raids, so even if it’s not shiny you can feel free to catch it in any Pokéball you want

Long story short: 1) Turn off Auto-Save 2) Check if raid is shiny via solo raid. 3) If shiny, back out and manually save. 4) Host raid/etc. 5) Finish raid all the way until you're back to overworld . 6) Force close game, and reload game to do raid again. People who did raid with you keeps pokemon, but you get to redo it to get it however many times you want

You also can’t hold don’t R or L to quickly move between boxes. You have to move between them one at a time. Pokémon just love removing basic functionality and being anti-consumerist.

Not sure if someone’s mentioned this already, but I just discovered that the rewards are determined at the den’s generation, not completion. So if you’ve saved in front of a den that drops ability patch or salty herba, you can repeatedly host & share the goodies. Found my second patch today & got 5 more out of the same den.

Unfortunately you can’t keep any of the rewards since you’re not saving after, but if you have a buddy that will share the patches / host the shiny sandwiches it makes everything easier. Also having them eat a lvl 2 raid boost for whatever type the den is grants even greater rewards.

Found a shiny Finnizen in a tera raid battle, I was so happy about it but couldn't share with anyone cuz I battled it alone and didn't want to risk resetting it. I was so happy, I wanted it so hard and it happened in the most unlikely way possible :'). This happened during my hunt of Bombirdier and I didn't even want to do the raid, but then I saw it was a Finnizen and changed my mind

I caught a shiny Frigibax from a den without knowing at the time. Only later when I sent it out in battle did I realize it. I saw sparkles and heard the sound effect but was surprised that it came from my team. Looking back at it, Frigibax's shiny is notably different, but I found the den at the start of the game so I had no idea how it was supposed to look like. It's now on my team :)

I was wondering whether they did the "shiny animation" or not. Good to know for future dens. Sometimes it's difficult to see the colourations with all that crystal in the way lol. I'll be Google-ing the shiny variations of these new mons with every den now to make sure.

You don't need to look up shiny colors to know if it's shiny. If it's not looking normal, it's shiny.

Shinies are strange in this game. I got a shiny Psyduck basically right after the tutorial and then a shiny Toxel in my first raid (which i did with my wife, so we both have it :D). We both were like "...wait, that thing looks kinda brighter than normal.. or does it?". Some time after this this my wife got a shiny Marril and i a Garados. Just yesterday my wife got a shiny Psyduck herself. All full odds.

Another thing to note, you can change the time back and keep the same date (not necessarily the same time) to maintain your outbreaks as long as you close your game in between and auto saves are off. I’ve been doing this for the past week with a few outbreaks. Even if I forget to change my clock back before opening the game I close the game then change the date back and reopen. Not sure if it works for these dens (not including the promoted event raids AJ mentioned) also but might be helpful to someone😊

I got a 1-star shiny Hattena from an online raid, which is a shiny so difficult to notice (with only the tip of its hat being slightly different which I think is obscured by the tera crown) I only found it when my trainer card didn’t match the shinies I thought I had and I double-checked my boxes. I found a shiny Rotom yesterday while I was soloing 5-star raids. I was so confused because I didn't see any animation/hear stars or get a good look at it, and it was a bit harder to tell with the tera crystal effect, but I knew what shiny Rotom looks like and I could swear it was redder/orangier than it should be and I was kind of just squinting at it the whole time I was fighting it.

Hey Austin, Unless I am mistaken you actually *are* able to rewind time to preserve raids and outbreaks. Like how Porto Marinada's auctions work, you need to close the game after saving *before* you change the time, and it can only be for the same day (no date change). Please correct me if I'm wrong. I found the functionality online raiding awesome, very rarely you will run into a troll who runs healing wish and is literally there to ruin the raid. Easily spotted though, just don't smash A to start the raid when people join instead wait for them to ready their Pokémon and if it's ok by your standards you can start the raid or if it's a troll just disband and re invite.

The one thing I hate about the raids is that literally EVERY text box wastes time. If you have any status effect it will need to remind you every turn and it wastes time. It's even more annoying when there are multiple effects that cause text to appear like held items or the enemy having a status effect.

Hey AJP, how do you go about finding tera raids? Do you just run around looking for 5 stars or do you kick the date forward to get another 6 star?

I genuinely did not think could find shinies in raids side from events and hacked mons ftom swsh, but I found my shiny goodra and a frigibax in the tera raids so now I always check as many as i can
