Just to be clear, I am not saying to memorize ALL your music! Just memorize the parts of your music that really challenge you. Additionally, you may wish to memorize entire pieces that challenge you, especially when they are on the faster end. There is a time and a place for reading as well as memorization!

It's amazing how much really goes into learning to read music. I thought that memorising wasn't helping me as much to learn, as I thought reading was far more important. This video has helped me Thanks

Always had trouble memorizing my music, so I'm going back to some pieces that I never finished, but seemed so much more easy to memorize. One is the Revolutionary Etude - I would like to speed it up and get it solidly memorized. Can you help a adult piano hobbyist with this?
