Good rap music is just the evolution of jazz. When I listen to rap i often visualize on how it would sound in a jazz quartet. It sounds pretty good in my mind.

Hey, I’m an 8th grade lead trumpet but I’m have trouble. What’s a good way to expand range and increase endurance? I can play to high g somewhat comfortably. Thanks!

If you'd like to increase your range, you can practice flexibility, or try the Bill Adams routine. Also, Trumpet Guy has a few range videos. So does Charlie Porter. Also, focus on playing quietly in the high range to slowly get more comfortable going higher. Endurance usually comes with time and patience, or at least it did for me.

Great trumpet skills and muscle control. Solo is too stiff. Get beyond the note and technique choices and make it dirtier. That said, You have the skills to be among the greats
