I wish the theory tekking mentioned is true, the one where kaido’s son is actually dead, and thats why kaido drinks so much, and because he drinks he gets way too drunk to the point he forgets that his son died and asked where he is in the festival. That can be something that regularly happens thats why the beast pirates just play along with what he believes at the moment, that could be another one of kaido’s “drunk modes” that he switches to every moment, but most importantly that explains why kaido didn’t just easily drop Momo to his death but instead he took the time to spare him and make and risk an opportunity of the Kozuki comeback even though he could just end it very easily right there, it doesn’t make sense for kaido to not kill momo at that time unless he wanted him to live because he reminded him of his dead son. I think that would be amazing and it would explain so much about kaido.

@kwstas kwsta i never said that katakuri is kaido's son, i'm just assuming that kaido's son is a character we that we never got introduced to yet (or in flashbacks if he is dead). and yeah no one can blame tekking for not being able to predict how many chapters are left for the flashback since no one really predicted when Oda will finish it, at the last like 4 chapters of the flashback i remember every youtuber assuming this was the last chapter every week until it actually happened and went to the present. in one piece creating theories is all abut connecting points and that's why i'm not saying that tekking's theory is the best, but it makes a lot more sense than all the other theories that i heard until today, that can change depending what comes up next.

Why do people buy into this oda will change the story idea? Do people really think they're that important? When was it ever stated and is there even a credible source? The lengths needed by oda to change the story isn't plausible and just so you know oda has books he's written for different arcs and characters so changing it can't be easy. I feel like in the interview Oda is saying that it’s “Incorrect” because Kaido isn’t the father to triplets but to quadruplets. Katakuri, Daifuku, and Oven have a fourth brother. And that’s why he didn’t want to confirm it since it would imply that Kaido and BM only had 3 sons. I think Kaido son is the oldest out of the 4 of them and he’s the only one that had Kaidos features hence the horns and why he took him.

Kaido could be literally around the same age as the triplets so how the fuck should he be their dad ?? I'd say Kaido should be around 55 years old or at most 60 (20 years ago during the time skip he was 35 or 40). The triplets are 48 years old so now use basic math. Unless 20 years Old Big mom didn't have sex with a 7 or 12 years old Kaido than it's not possible. Kaido was said to be around the same generation and era than Shanks who is 40 years old, just a side note.

I think Kaido having a son is an amazing twist, as it straight up changes basically everything we knew about his character and puts into question all his motivations. Before I believed Kaido was lonely and unaccomplished and because of that he wanted to start a great war, die a great death etc like deep down he felt hollow and depressed. But him having a son puts all these things into question and I think that is really intriguing. as for the son, I hope it's a new character and I hope he's a little shithead, not like a weak brat or a strong powerhouse just sort of a shitty teenager who has space to grow, like Zuko from Last Airbender.

JUST HEAR ME OUT: the front of a group usually indicates the strongest: ie Kaido’s son. Crocodile’s shoes look a lot like the leader of the groups. Now supposedly Crocodile has a secret he doesn’t want shared (Ivankav knows this secret and it is hinted at several times) Kiado took over a kingdom, Crocodile also tried to take over a kingdom. Croc is 30, kiado was an apprentice on the Rocks crew that was taken out 40 years ago so the ages match up. What if he is Kaidos son, and instead of brute strength like his father he is the other side of the coin by being super intelligent. Kiado is more of a brute and uses a club and dresses more like a “savage” or a hun warrior while crocodile is suave and is well dressed. Anyway this isn’t even a thought out theory, but it just hit me while re reading the chapter! Let me know your thoughts!

I think there are 4 main possibilities 1) His son died a long time ago and when he gets drunk he forgets, might be why he didn't kill momo 2) The triplets (Daifuku, Oven, Katakuri) are his sons so he's asking about one in particular 3) The triplets (Daifuku, Oven, Katakuri) are his sons but there is a fourth who he got in the divorce lol (weak or strong idk?) 4) His son is a new character 4a. Possibly the ruler of the whole underworld or the underworld's version of a yonko? 4b. He is one of the best bounty hunters in the world after leaving the Beast Pirates as a teenager to rebel 4c. He has his own pirate crew or runs a special division within Kaido's crew

I also really like the idea of him being an Underworld/Black Market Leader or a high-class Bounty Hunter cause then maybe he flips and attacks Jack or someone else for reward money then leaves mid-war which would be a nice way to start including bounty hunters into OP finally. If he was an obedient son he would already be at Kaido's side in the last chapter. You can look at Perospero as an example, like how he is obedient to BM (to some degree). But since he is lurking around and has to be found, it makes me think he doesn't really care about all this. So like u said, if he was an underground boss, it would fit, since he most likely would prioritize his business over anything else. But since everyone is expecting the son to be a badass in their own way, I wouldn't be surprised if Oda makes him a wimp

@@welckin Yea I am really hoping for Underworld or Bounty Hunter because if Oda goes the weak traitor bonding route it just seems like another random lucky thing to go the Straw Hats way and I was not a fan of the whole development of the lucky Kinemon plan. I wanted Oda to start veering away from dumb funny luck more and turn towards actual skill. He could've had Nami and Robin show some brains since they infiltrated the castle and may have overheard Konjuro's identity then send out a secret message with Franky when building the ships and we'd still end up in the same place story wise. I mean Nami was a cat burglar who always lied and tricked people and Robin was always planning ways to avoid marine capture so idk why Oda has slowly made them dumber the longer the story has gone on. I’ve always thought that Power in One Piece is directly proportionate to the size of one’s dream. You say that “Katakuri couldn’t be the kid of two emperors” because of his lack of strength, but maybe it’s related to his lack of a dream. This would fit two hardcore themes of the show: the importance of Dreams, and differentiating between loyalty to one’s family and a loyalty to one’s self (or their dream).

9:13 since you’re talking about those genetics and such, here’s my take on it... if Katakuri really was the son of Kaido and Lin Lin, that doesn’t mean he “should’ve won” against Luffy. Just because he’d have the genetics of 2 Yonkou, Katakuri would still be weaker than them since he’s comparatively younger and less experienced. Now consider the fact that Luffy is going to have to defeat one of the Yonkou, if not both of them, in the upcoming chapters and bring an end to the Wano arc, if Katakuri was their son and Luffy couldn’t beat him, then there is no way he could stand a chance against Kaido or Big Mom... so genetics, if anything, give even more credence to the theory being true

Logically: it would give Kaido reason to alley with BB or Luffy against the marines. ( Since BB seems to be en-route to do some recruiting) Also such a powerhouse, coming so recently? What if? Kaido son is the real deal and is the Ace of the team... That would mean that: Ace vs Zoro ( okay this is strange but let’s be honest here if ace is kaido son and is the real deal then zoro gonna have to boss up and fight him) King vs sanji ( even though we saw king holding a sword it doesn’t mean that he’s a master swordsmen so that would mean that sanji and king could have an air fight.) I feel like people keep forgetting about Kaido's age. It hasn't been confirmed anywhere yet, but he was an apprentice of Rocks 40 years ago. To me, I would think he was in his early- to mid-teens back then. Katakuri is 48 years old. So that makes it very gross if he's Katakuri's father. Being Katakuri's twin brother would make more sense then, if it wasn't for the flashback panel of the Rocks Pirates, which showed us a relatively grown Kaido back in those days.

Kaidos son is definitely not a member of big moms crew, we all know how much kaido hates her. He is just not revealed yet, because he will have an important role in the wano arc. I dont think Oda would take the risk to already design his character and personality before the most important arc.

Big Mom is 68 years old, Katakuri, Oven and Daifuku are 48, that is, they were born when Big Mom was 20 years old. During the period when she was part of the Rocks, Kaidou was an apprentice. Shanks and Buggy are 39 each, Roger’s apprentices, Blackbeard’s 40, Whitebeard’s former apprentice. During their apprenticeship days, they were 12 years old or younger. When Kaido was an apprentice, he must have been in that age group, and Big Mom was 28 or older, so it makes no sense for him to be their father. And if you talk about similarities, Luffy looks more like Roger than Ace himself .

Some on discord said Jack may be his son but i dont think that is true as well because that like the same way with katakuri wont matter in the long sceme of things . Also, I think in that interview - Oda is implying that it's more interesting for the readers (since he loves setting up situations where we can speculate endlessly) if we weren't given a definitive answer on that topic... which is why he didn't go out of his way, initially, to confirm or deny it either way. Thats why they even censored Kaido's name, so you can't really know for sure if that's who the person asking the question really meant or not... (even though it's pretty heavily implied to be Kaido).

Great video! Kaido gets more interesting in every chapter. What if Big mom is actually trying to double-cross Kaido by kidnapping his kid and stealing the information from his Ponygliff while letting him face alone the pirate-alliance? Let's not forget that She wanted to be the next one to Raftel as well! Plus Momonosuke is a dragon just like Kaido now, what if he wants him to be his son because his own natural child doesn't love him as much as Momonosuke loved Oden? I was thinking it might be Gin or Bentham (Bon Kurei) because they are both conected to Wano in some way and we haven't seen them in a while. Gin was hiding from his father in Krieg pirates, while Bon Kurei was exiled by his father because of his okama way or is hiding from his father (thats why he has that devil fruit which used to belong to his teacher)

Ok. New theory. Kurozumi Higurashi tricked Kaido into sleeping with her and had his baby->bentham, bon kurei. Bentham saw his mother being murdered by Kaido, ate her devil fruit and ran away from his father as soon as he was old enough. Arguments, they are artist family and Bon has a lot of artistic soul. He mentioned cicada twice. His 2 cranes are symbol of Wano. Bon Kurei is holiday in Japan. His chin is doubled like his mother Higurashi. He probably removed his horns because he doesn't like his father. His father probably mentioned him because he was to drunk again. :)

He could have realized he needs growth and now chases it, he could easily rise to Yonko level if he seeks growth. Luffy seeks growth, Koby seeks growth, Zoro seeks growth... those that seek growth grow and Katakuri can and probably will if he seeks it.
