Despite my efforts to move forward, I'm compelled to share my inner turmoil and the overwhelming sense of missing her here .

Letting go of someone you love deeply presents a formidable challenge. I faced a comparable ordeal when my 6 year relationship ended. While I luckily never lost a significant other or love of my life yet (I hope it never comes to that, but that I will find that woman eventually that is able to bring out the best in me, as I will hopefully bring the best out of her), I offer my condolences and sympathies. I lost my grandparents on my mother's side some 4 and 5 years ago respectively - thank god neither of them had to live through this Covid debacle, it'd have driven the old man insane. In any case, both of them were dear to me, my Grandfather was a skilled Guitarist, a talented fisher, an honest and hardworking man with a great sense of humour (but who could have quite a temper and hold a grudge) and a love for both his family and old movies. I loved them very much and I have to say the world... well feels poorer now that they are no longer alive. But I take comfort in the fact that they were here and left their mark and that for the entirty of my life they enriched it and I can hardly think of any moment where there were any times I disliked spending time with them. I'd like to say that it gets easier with time... but if you truely loved the person you are referring to Ronnie, then chances are you never will truely get over their loss completely. And that is a good thing. As that means they will remain in your memory. However, unless you are already in your late 60s or 70s I dare to doubt that she would have wanted for you to be lonely and sad. I hope you will eventually find a new love eventually that you will be able to love in a similar fashion as your departed beloved. Best Wishes and good Luck - just a stranger in the internet, another Human - to another.

Since the 1960's TV shows have shown men to be silly idiots. Example is the Andy Griffith Show. Andy was the sensible one that calmed things down. BUT...all the other men on the show were weak, silly, or useless: Barney, Goober, Floyd, Gomer, Howard, Otis, along with the local farmers etc. The women were all BOSSES and acted professional. Helen, Thelma Lou, Ellie Walker Clara. Aunt Bea was weak and agreeable...but when pushed...she stood her ground. You'll see the same narrative in today's sit coms, police shows, etc. Feminists teaching women to devalue & disrespect men.

Well gentlemen, culture is ours to make it as we will. Hollywood is pushing their agenda hard, because it goes against God and common sense. But America is multicultural, and we can reject a toxic culture and uphold a virtuous culture, and over generations we can save it. There is a great program from bear Grylls caleld "The island" in one sequel he pitches a group of man and a (separate) group of women on an island where they both have to survive: the men are doing great. Within no time they procured food, build a shelter and a campfire and had fun, whereas the group of women wandered around aimlessly, got lost, used the little drinking water they had to wash their hair and had no food, no fire and no shelter. Then they started to complain 'why the men did not help them' That episode is gold. I am sure searching "bear Grylls the island men vs women" will let you find it, it is gold

Then why are there so many single Philippina mothers struggling to raise their children without the fathers? The fathers just take off and don't support the children they leave behind. Seems to be a common theme.
@mrlox9576Ай бұрын
Granted some are players, but you get that anywhere. But for many it's a case of they fall for the woman and she gets pregnant, which is fine. But then her whole family start making demands. Next thing this young man knows he's expected to financially support 8 people rather than just his partner and new baby. It's a lot to ask of a young man just starting out, and saying no to her family isn't acceptable in the culture. Working your @$$ off for minimum wage so these people can sit old their @$$es holding their hands out isn't a very appealing life for most you men.

Good morning from Idaho Pea, it's 6am here and bedtime where you're at. Sadly, you are witnessing why more and more guys are pulling up stakes and splitting the breeze for greener pastures. Women don't need men until they do. You said it yourself almost as a throwaway line that women can be very catty to each other. Be blessed my friend and take care of yourself.

In reality both men and women need each other. Throughout my life I always needed a women by my side, but as I get older I find that I look forward to alone time. I don't have trouble finding women who want men here in the Philippines, but finding the one to spend your life with takes a little more work, especially if you want a women without obligations, and many Filipina have obligations. 🤣In general most men and women need companionship. I still do..........😉 I need a Filipina who would like to live in the Philippines and take vacations to Florida. 😇

This woman's value is certainly her wonderful intelligence and brave personality. She deserves a doctor as a life mate. Her beauty is quite obvious of course. She is more than she can handle. Only the highly educated can be her counter ballance. I am of course in love with her so the odds are against my even talking to her. But THAT i have observed her i feel blessed. She is a real woman unlike American women. Toast to the beautiful orchid, the diamond in the rough, a place where love has a home ... .. ..

Pea, what a difference between the Philippine women and the Western women. Not all Western women act and feel this way, but they are the most vocal. Their hatred of men has made many men give up on finding a good woman in their own country.

Hell no would I sit behind the wheel of a car in the PH, not with those laws. I did drive there on a rental motorbike, at least it is the smallest vehicle on the road, you can't be at fault if anything happens.
@papadougpapadougsadventures2 ай бұрын
@@alexis-hunter I would say if you are not a Filipino you WILL BE at fault regardless of the circumstances. I was in Dumaguete and my girlfriend was driving when a young man on a motorcycle ran into the side of the rental car we were in. I being a naive American assumed he would pay for the damage. No he didn’t have any money so I paid the rental car company for the damage.

@@papadougpapadougsadventures Because you were the biggest vehicle involved in an accident, be grateful your gf didn't end up in jail for months and that boy survived. Wild west lawless society.
@alexis-hunter2 ай бұрын
@@papadougpapadougsadventures Just in case you are unaware, let me clarify. Their law literally states, that regardless of circumstances, the biggest vehicle involved in the accident is at fault. They had a traffic accident some year or so ago, involving a young man driving on an opposite lane of the highway, he went head on into a bus. Fatal accident, bus driver who had zero fault in it spent months in jail without being able to feed his family. The incident sent enough shockwaves through society, that there is a bill now to finally align the rules with common sense. Who were the lawmakers and what kind of colored powders they consumed when coming up with these laws is beyond my very good imagination capabilities.

@@craiginswflorida9324that’s different though. American men are surrounded by American women. All of the American women are pretty damn awful partners. This is exactly why "Passport bros" were created... the long and the short is, we know we're needed... but it's different to FEEL needed... you could come here to the US and ask the exact same question and your answers would 99 times out of 100 would be that they don't need a man here. There's a myriad of different reasons as to why they feel that here, first and foremost because women are subsidized to be single and especially single mothers... The views of what a relationship is, what marriage is, and what actual love looks like and feels like to Filipinas, is why men are jumping on planes and seeking you and those like you out. At the end of the day, both sexes are looking for the affirmation from each other... we need each other, equally. Also I hope your typhoon wasn't too terrible and you and your family are all safe. ☺☺
