I wouldn't mind AI assistance if each element can be turned off and remain turned off at a restart. Information which could be provided by an ai system could be useful but I draw the line at it making judgement calls for me.

thank you for all the videos. The content on this one really makes one think about where we will be as things progress with driving. Will we even be driving in a few years or will things switch to mass transit and automated systems. Personal vehicles may be going the way of the dodo.

My 2015 honda jazz fart box doesn't need WiFi or AI to get going. A good old fashioned motor. Doesn't even have a screen just a CD player.

Trouble is the software. How long before out of date and won’t update. My diesel A 3 saloon 2014 can’t update my satnav and can’t find anywhere to do this. I’ve read on Ev’s have same problem software only good for so long. Manufacturers now charging for different things no good just costing more money.

The subscription model where you pay a monthly fee to use adaptive cruise control or have heated seats is crazy. There were also some issues when the 3G signal was switched off and cars relied on it for data turning them into dumb or practically worthless cars. I am happy to have a smart in car entertainment system that does nav, can play films, music, connects with my phone and allows net access, but that is something I can control and turn off. When these are fully integrated into the car and the car its monitoring our every move and reporting back to base I think we've gone a step too far. These systems as you say also go out of date and can't be updated.

AI isn't actually intelligent it's just a complex algorithm that tries to simulate intelligence. Trust it at your peril.
