@@shivinunitholi2493 he's done more for India than you and I have. This helps in soft power and influence. And soft power influences hard power. Like it or not, we blame these guys for leaving the country and trying to prosper but they received criticism after winning the nobel from a few local leaders. We don't have great infrastructure and support in India the way that USA does. Be happy that an Indian has made us proud. He still wears Indian clothes and his wife also does the same. Make yourself capable enough, reach their level and then we shall understand their efforts.

They are too over with it usually, it usually has some ‘western’ twist, which however doesn’t come as traditional, but the elegance also depends on the person. A nice traditional saree is so elegant and simple in itself! It adds to your elegance, beauty and simplicity :)

The world needs to know more about the laureates and their work, I believe. I organize events about economics and finance in our college, and workshops etc. inviting researchers to talk to students. Does the Nobel Prize work with college students, so that we can do something with the Nobel Prize foundation in our college?

Honestly, your best bet is to expose your student body to TED talks and several lectures that are available at Universities, think tanks and, of course on KZbin. The schedule of the Nobel Laureates and researchers of the calibre gets booked pretty fast. Much as they may like to oblige, their time is taken up by research and the need to be present at highly important meetings and gatherings. They become very selective.

A pure Indian cum Bengali who was born in India and died in his motherland was Sir Rabindranath Tagore...Mr Sen, Mr Banerjee all are NRIs who escaped the muddy water of oriental environment to enjoy all the aminities of the Western world. Ofcourse they are genius but nation do not have a sentiment to rejoice their success the way we cherish the achievement of Tagore as a Nobel prize receiver. Tagore thought for India, loved India and acted for India and never settled in the west to gain reputation world wide unlike these gentlemen...
