It was a condensed form of some specific area in the world, that Alvis, Klaus, and Mayneth has complete access to and were able to change freely, but the world inside the snow globe could only be effected slightly by the outside world, like when the Zohar fades away at the end of 2, and the universe needs to be reset, or, the snow globe needs to be broken. Pyra and Mythra, definitely. They’re immortal. Nia, perhaps, depending on the time. From the dialogue with the NPC Moui in Torigoth when trying to figure out where the Ardainians took Nia, we figure out that she became a Flesh Eater within the previous ten years. Given that Jin, the only perfect Flesh Eater, lived for 500 years, we can assume that Nia would live for a similar amount of time. If she can use her power on herself, then yes, definitely. With Poppi, it’s not clear.

Pyra and Mythra are blades. They are forever immortal until their core crystal itself gets destroyed. Nia, it depends. Since she is a flesh-eater, the same as Jin, the amount of time she has is unknown. Hell, she could live for just a couple years before hitting the dust. Maybe even decades. Centuries. Maybe millions of years if she's lucky. Jin lived for 500 years as being a flesh-eater, so living for a couple centuries seems reasonable for Nia. And as for Poppi, as long as she stays maintained, she could live technically forever. Perhaps as a family heirloom that gets passed on and on. Plus, Tora admits that even he doesn't know what Poppi is capable of, so her Poppi QTpi form could just be the surface of her true power.

The rift in XC: Future Connected is near abouts where Prison Island was, connected to the makeshift memory dimension Zanza was felled in, it's possible that the world's have not yet merged at that point, as in XC3's trailer we see the Mechonis Sword has impaled a Titan from XC2 and become Swordmarch.

Patrick Weller 1 and 2 are tied, so they aren’t really separate, but that’s only in terms of time, given they happen along side each other. To me XC2 ended in the xc1 world, but on their own continent. That’s how I picture it, they shouldn’t have any interaction unless one of them travels the world.

At the end of xenoblade 2 when Rex and cast return to alrest, there is nothing anymore, they even think everybody died. It is only after they travel through a "rift" as Azurda says, that suddenly they find and ocean with all the titans and a landmass. We don't even see them going through the rift, the screen just goes white or something. So, it was implied that they didn't end in the same world, but instead were sent to a new one.

Maybe what could happen is in XC3, the descendants of the people of Alrest have fully settled on the larger new landmass, and detect a massive energy spike/ shockwave on and around the smaller landmass which would be the Bionis' corpse and people entering that universe. Considering the power of the Zohar seems to be based extradimentionally, and we don't know too much about Shulk's "creation" of a new world, they could say that although none of the Bionis' people experienced it, several years or decades had passed during their transmission. Or, time worked on a different scale in XC1verse and the moment at the end of 2 with Klause was just a brief moment of convergence, possibly brought about by the world-dimension powers being wielded, and the Bionis transmission occurred millennia after in Earth-verse. This could also account for a time difference to be used in the premise of 3.

I like to think they're in separate universes at the end of the games. I know that Azurda says "We're crossing that rift", but I'm pretty sure he's either referring to the rift between Morytha and the Cloud sea or crossing through the cloud ridge that encloses Alrest from the rest of the Earth. And that island that the Titans collide with looks like a bunch of deceased Titans fused together; you can see wings, horns and even a head (I think). It makes more sense that the XC2 cast would stay in the same world because Rex says "We need to find a way forward within that world", which would become irrelevant if they were teleported to a new place. Furthermore, both living and deceased Titans coming together to form a new continent links to this because "We". "We" need to move forward within this world and learn from our mistakes (like the death of the Tornan Titan) and stop fighting between each other (like Mor Ardain and Uraya). Sorry if this is a bit rambly and incoherent, but it's just what I'd prefer. Knowing Monolithsoft, it's probably in the same universe and I'm fine with that. But until we get a definitive answer, I'm not budging.

That single large island is bigger than all the titans combined and then those titans megre with it to form an even larger landmass, like Pangea. Even with how far I am into XC3 (Just after chapter 5), with what I've pieced together so far, this theory is surprisingly accurate. Not exactly how things worked, but clearly even Monolith understood the only way forward was to merge the two universes, and PCs in XC3 have at least some ties to PCs from the previous two games, even if all you have to go by are design elements that are way too specific to past characters to be anything but intentional.

Personal headcanon : (Theroy for the third game too I guess.) (Also spoilers.) The Island that they land on in 2 is actually a Continent and and Xenoblade Chronicles 1 ends on the west coast where 2 ends on the east coast. My theory is that the third game is going to be a spilt way between the two groups as the adventure into the continent and find each other, but in the ruckus get split into groups. One finds Malos's core, the second and third have Prya and Mythra, the fourth would find Alvis along the way. Thus they at the end, save both the new Colony 9 and the landed titans from the local threat which somehow has linked to the conduit. Malos would somehow be resurrected, Pyra/Mythra would be separated but be able to relay info to each other, and Alvis would be a big main character. At the end, they bring all four groups together at the end to beat back the threat that they face. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I think (hope) XB3 will combine both predecessor's plot lines, but I don't believe Shulk and Rex end up in the same world at the end of their games. Instead, it makes more sense that Klaus (good half from XB2) actually survives and organizes a grand space expedition to find out more about the Zohar. For that he needs support. We know that Shulk's story isn't over from when he says at the , while looking up at the sky: 'There's a whole new world'. However, Rex' story is finished. He did what he intended to do and got his happy ending. Instead, it'd be cool if characters like Poppi and Nia jumped dimensions and join Klaus and Shulk on their spaceship. Poppi clearly needs to explore what she actually is, if she has a soul and stuff, typicall Xeno-dilemmas. Nia clearly didn't find the love she desired and there's nobody waiting for her. Plus she's popular. 💁 Anyway, that's my prediction for XB3: Klaus, Shulk, Poppi (+maybe Nia) exploring space and its boundaries.

I think it's even easier to explain than what Luxin was attempting here: 1) There was first, our Earth. Predating the events of both XC1 and XC2. 2) The event with Klaus happens, ripping that specific universe into it's own interconnected multiverse. 3)The events of both XC1 and XC2 concurrently play out at identical pacing up until Shulk and friends defeat Zanza. 4) XC1 finishes it's own arc by returning all of it's universe back in to the OG Earth's universe (i.e. our universe). At this point, XC2's universe is seamlessly "resorbed" back in to our universe. 5) The events of XC2 finishes playing out. At this point, Rex and friends arrive at the same land mass that Shulk and friends are on. XC3 could very well tie the 2 casts together, but I don't see that happening. Interest in XCX being remastered is at an all time high. XCX also has an unresolved plot. I would rather see Monolithsoft do XCX2 and figure out a way to show how Mira is actually the planet they have all "reintegrated" in to. Those are my thoughts anyways.
