Do you ACTUALLY need a mannequin to sew?

I’ve finally upgraded my old Mannequin but are they actually worth it? You might be wondering whether you should buy one so I’m sharing these two examples and which one I prefer!

Very helpful video! Although I have an atelier sewing for me, I mainly need a mannequin to visualize before sketching. This video defnitely helped me decide which mannequin to buy. Thanks!

I have an aldi one non adjustable as it's close to my size don't use it for final tweaks of garment though

Yeah I feel like final tweaks need to be done on your body! :)

I like the white covered Mannequin on the right also. If the bust is too large, how do you adjust your fabrics to fit you? Would be nice if they made the Mannequin to place different padding in the front from the back of it, that would fit the person using the Mannequin.

I'll just be draping as her normal and then reduce the side seams and bust when fitting to my body. I don't usually make such form fitting outfits so this will also naturally give some ease too!
