Why bring Malcolm X into this situation. I am a 69 year old Melanie Woman. Black History should be taught in school. One would think in order to be a country where race and skin color doesn't matter, that everyone is equal and has equal opportunity, that LAST thing you'd do to a child is point out how different everyone is and you should treat people differently because they aren't like you, right? Doing so is the very definition of teaching kids to be racist. Only stupid people can't comprehend this basic of common sense. Critical race "theory" is supposed to be just that, a theory, but the left is teaching it to our kids as if it's fact. By doing so, they ensure it's fact as our kids now grow up to be racists themselves.

Curiously small children are afraid of any ethnicity different to their parents without any prompting, beards too if their father doesn't have one.. Its up to a parent to demonstrate the guy with the beard is friendly. However that's a far cry from giving a child guilt for having such feelings as the book seems to want to do.

@@user-yx2wn7ew9b Matt Walsh "interrogated" certain people with relevant PhDs on Gender studies and look how that turned out. Arguments from "authorities" on subject matters should be scrutinized as any others. Plumber should exercise FACULTY OF REASON. @@yolomcswaggens9482 This has nothing to do with Matt Welsh nor is it anywhere similar, please stick to the topic at hand. I do not know how you've managed to miss it but basically the entirety of this video consists of the "plumber" saying that they do not know, because it is not their job, as you yourself had suggested one should do. This is evidently about Cruz trying to milk out an answer he likes from a person that has no knowledge of the topic or the responsibility to have any knowledge about it. It is not even their responsibility to agree to discuss something that is none of their concern, I know for certain that I wouldn't agree to playing that game either. If Cruz actually wants real answers to his questions (he doesn't) then he should ask the responsible people. Unless he's incapable of finding out who's actually responsible, which says more about him and his capabilities than anything else.

@@user-yx2wn7ew9b "Do you (*personally*) believe that babies are racist?". *Response is a speech about her belief for the need of equal form of treatment*. When pressed, again, on her personal convictions on the actual topic, she finally responds that she is not familiar with the topic at hand and has no opinion to offer. This should have been the first response. Ted received it, moved on to another topic, while she evidently wasn't acting in good faith. Whether he should have questioned her in particular is a different topic altogether. Because then, you and I are discussing how to solve the general problem (a discussion that must include who to question), not the particular exchange that takes place in the video. So don't change the subject.

@@yolomcswaggens9482@yolomcswaggens9482 perhaps because the premise of the entire question is wrong from its very root? He didn't waltz into the room one day and randomly asked her if babies are racist. He asked that question in regards to the previous part of his speech which related to a book that she does not know and is not responsible for, that is being used in a school that is not in her jurisdiction. So to give an answer to that question is to give validation to it. If I asked you "You are gay, therefore, do you think that kissing men feels good?" would you, albeit you aren't gay at all, still answer this stupid question that you know nothing about? Would you just answer with "yes/no" and unavoidably confirm that you are gay? Of course not. I wholeheartedly agree that this person can be a bore from what I've seen in a different speech and has a tendency to avoid answering questions, but that doesn't in the least affect the fact that Cruz is trying to interrogate an answer out of a wrong person for sake of publicity.

Again from what I heard in this video - the book says there is NO neutral way in this historical context to speak about race. IF one pretends that there was not and is not racism ( even much less than before ) in the US today is just a hypocrite . The reason African Americans are so behind today is slavery and racism which was OFFICIAL public policy till the 70s.. They were second rate citizens ,, until recently and you believe that disappeared suddenly ? In the 70s ? In the 90's if you were against racism it just meant you were a regular person. Anthrax and Public Enemy on stage collab is all the proof I needed. We didn't cancel people. The dude making the hardcore racist jokes usually got the hint that nobody was laughing. It was a sly accountability, and we had tough conversations without worrying about pissing each other off. There are always going to be racist individuals. It is already illegal to discriminate against people by Race, Religion, Sex, Disability, and other immutable characteristics. I investigated Federal and State discrimination complaints for 8 years. There are many instances of racism. And it was awesome helping people through it and holding accountable those who are unwilling to provide equal access/opportunity to everyone. There are also many many instances where the human experience of being surrounded by our own misperceptions led to a misunderstanding. Many accusations of racism were when the employer or landlord doesn't give a reason for their actions and the person is left to their assumptions. Those assumptions and feelings for how things are generally going are shaped by information the person gets. If every source of information is telling them white supremacists are lurking everywhere, that no matter how hard they work it will not matter because of racism, it doesn't take a phd to figure out what the majority of humans in that situation would assume. Too much togetherness isn't good for the ones sticking it to us so Division has become the game once again. They need White Supremacy to be a boogeyman. The big trial in Wisconsin and the response afterwards is proof. Anyone who watched the news and not the trial should feel white supremacist got away with taking a machine gun across state lines and shot 3 black people. NONE OF THAT HAPPENED and it is easily known for the past year. This is no mistake. This is all intentional. Don't let the tablet, TV, phone, or teachers make you hate your neighbor. Keep using your heads folks and talk to each other! Chris Forever Young

@@piershartley8676 The question is about critical race theory. Specifically, it is about some conclusions that have been drawn in a children's book and judge's opinion on those ideas. The fact that the book in question is for children does not detract from the matter. Maybe it's the other way around. She is a judge. She judges people. Her preconceptions about people are quite relevant to her work.

@@King-eg2zl Come on, it's not just a random question about children... But about the relative preconceptions, that could affect the impartiality of the judge. Racism is a problem a judge has to deal with. I hope we can agree on this. And the answer to a simple question can help establish a person's preconceptions about complex issues. Maybe this is the part you struggle with. Think about it for a moment and you will agree that it is not all that absurd. If a white and blond man were asked: "Do you share the concept of lebensraum expressed in Mein Kampf?", would you still say "that's not what judges deal with"? Or do you think that from the answer we could draw interesting conclusions, much more complex than the simplicity of the question?
