If you're really trying to hire the best person for the job, there's absolutely no reason to ask about someone's race or 'identity'.

Well, motive needs to be a factor also; and if they are applying (for a position) just because they fit a communist-incompetent trait, then it does not bode well for anyone else wishing to survive more of their future. Fact is smiling bitches would not be able to run an ice-cream stand without whitey's technology the good Lord provided the faithful.

He never let her state a position. Congressional hearings have become a forum for politicians to ramble without ever asking a question. How can he have “literally erased her position”? She was never asked a policy question; what is her position? We don’t know from this clip. So what is the point of the hearing? For Brian Mast it is to talk about his ideas on employment and race. He implies his position is not the state department’s position.

@@paulandrews1548 Because we are not a monolith, and in a diverse representative democracy, some of the representatives represent most people well, some do not. And when it comes time to run for President, usually the most effective strategy, like any good business strategy is to cater to the lowest common denominator. Representatives don't have quite that same issue since they have to only appeal to their local constituency, which tends to be a much more unified culture, with lots of obvious common goals and issues.

I agree. So what are we to do about nepotism, and cronyism? For decades it appears as long as Whites got the jobs, no one cared HOW they got it. Under the auspices those who got the job "earned" it. If you want to get rid of DEI, fine. Get rid of nepotism, cronyism and any other favoritism, and you've got a deal. Equal playing field for ALL, not just a few.
@CharlesNauck
@CharlesNauck 2 ай бұрын
@sho0t you don't fight bigotry with, opposite bigotry. You fight it with equality of opportunity. If it is shown that a system is unfairly discriminating against a group you combat that issue, not create opposite discrimination. Do you think these racist policies don't also include nepotism/cronyism/favoritism? You've just created another unfair way for someone to get the job and made the system less meritocratic. People state that it is due to past issues... okay.... well invest in scientifically proven methods for poor communities regardless of the race of the individual. Provide assistance to the poor regardless of the race of the individual. If that community is disproportionately X you will help that X group. But you won't be giving a seat to a multimillionaire because he happens to be black. You can never really know what someone dealt with or the trials they faced unless you get to know them. Using skin color is lazy. My ex was a pretty black girl and I am white. But I grew up poor... I grew up where people mocked me for my ethnic appearance... she grew up rich she grew up in Africa where her ethnicity was the dominant one. Her family came to America because they were rich and tied to the elite. Her uncle was the president's pilot. My family became American because the Nazis invaded our country and the Soviets took over R*** the women stole our farms and shot anyone that complained. I don't want special treatment or for her to be hamstrung. My wife is a Filipina and her she rubbed shoulders with professors/mayors/etc. -------- Grouping up people on race/sex will often mean that rich women like my wife and ex gf who grew up in an intelligentsia crowd will be the ones that receive the benefits. As they are well educated/mannered and comfortable in high-end positions... the poor innercity black guy won't get a break. The Appalachian man won't get a break. ----------- How long have affirmative actions been in place? Have they changed anything? Or are they perpetuating the inequalities by not addressing the real issues of those communities? Instead of solving the problem we give breaks to people that didn't earn it on their ability to play the victim/beg. While those with the hardworking stand on their own two-feet mindset are pushed to the back... harming the community they proclaim to want to help. Again, you look at an area... you look at a measurable quality that is in and of itself proof of at least some disadvantage such as parental income. Then with a colorblind policy, you help those in need. No need to give seats in Harvard to Nigerian Princesses.

Does anyone else see how this is taking us backwards? We're regressing here folks. We are delving deeper into a segregationist society - where race/color becomes the pre-eminent criteria, or filter as Rep. Mast says, upon which to base all sorts of decisions. My company, for instance, has never - in its 18 year existence, had anything like an "employee of the month" - but used to recognize employees based on merit and unique accomplishments in their duties. But in reaction to the events of the last several years, the company decided to develop a DIEB working group with outside consultant support - which has now instituted a "Highlighted Employee of the Month, sponsored by DIEB" -- guess what type of employees are NOT in the running to be recognized? This type of policy is not good, from any angle, against any group, from any perspective. It will not lead to good.

And of those 2 pages, I did not qualify for a scholarship based on race, which race included 80% of the scholarships listed. Of the final 20% based on grades, I didn't have a chance against validictorians/etc. I was excluded because I was White. Aside from that nonsense, now I'm am paying for college, someone else's. Sadly I was hired for my skin color... I was hired to work harder to do the job of the other girls that were quota hires and not required to work, harassed by black people for being considered racist and told my management team...we hired you to work harder so they ( the diversity hires) don't have to.i could be written up for many things... not working harder was huge

This is a fact. If I have an accident there is only one main factor with few exceptions that determine where the blood comes from if I have to have a direct transfusion and that is blood type. It does not depend on the color of skin, socioeconomic status religion how I / you were raised or our belief in anything or where we live though out this whole wide world. There is only one RACE on planet Earth. The human race. That should be the driving force constituting our actions. And if not we are doomed as a species.

Just remember that kids now at the age of four are "learning" the opposite of what you were taught at that age. For example, in the future: "Of course there's no such thing as men or women. It's all a social construct. I learned that at age four." My point being that our society isn't just currently ridiculous for reasons like this video, but also its very foundation is being eroded, and is setting itself up for complete collapse due to insidious indoctrination of our future generations.

Mind control through the education system. The system is designed so that people associate their own identity and self-worth, with their success along an academic path. That path was set early in life. Achieve this and you'll be worthy. Except, they move the goal posts each time. So now we have 50-60 year old Bureaucrats, who are completely dependent on the system for identity, and self worth. It's a cult.

He's saying what I've been saying for years. I happen to look white, and you can't know who I am, what I've been through, where I've been and come from, what culture I grew up with etc. without asking me. Racism towards whites is becoming a real problem.

I look white too, but I’m Hispanic. Racism is a big problem. I get treated like I’m white because everyone is much darker than me. The sad part is there was even a mother that was an illegal and she told her 4 year old daughter to shut up in front of me because people like me will report them. 😮 I felt bad and just walked away. That was at a store. At another store the security guard was Hispanic and they thought I was white, so they were giving me the dirtiest looks I’ve ever seen in my life, like they wanted to kill me. It made me uncomfortable and I have gone back to that store. I’m tired of getting treated like I’m white when I’m not. Even if I were to tan, I’d probably just look Italian. Racism is growing everywhere. The crazy thing is, when have white people ever acted like that to Mexicans in public? Never. I’ve never seen it. So to have Mexicans treating white people who are out in public like that is crazy.

@@Overallsminion in my opinion whites and Hispanics have always gotten along better than blacks and hispanics (due to cultural reasons and similar value systems) and the fact they're trying to group all of "black and brown" people together (including Asian, Indian, middle eastern etc) despite the VAST cultural differences and even difference in education, earnings etc. is the most stupid and idiotic thing I've ever seen.
