You get a lot of cases like the fox twins in rural England and Wales. They're mostly children born that are/were considered 'taboo' in less tolerant times and communities. Children born out of wedlock or with birth defects for example. They get abandoned in woods and end up being adopted and lookee after by animals such as foxes, birds, stray cats and wild dogs. Go to any remote rural village and eventually you'll spot a wild animal-like person in the woods.

I think it should be left where it is to be honest, even though I'm a huge fan. Fawlty Towers only had 2 series and is still adored and acclaimed to this day. Yes, there is more mileage in the show but as the US prove some things really shouldn't be milked else the magic is lost. I'm getting the 3 series boxset next week (hopefully) and will undoubtedly watch it again and again until I can quote it like I can Alan Partridge, Blackadder, The Office and countless other top BBC comedy. As for Kurtan's flat I think a lot of people kinda know it'll never happen. Yes, it's pessimistic but that 'hopeful' ambiguity is what'll make the finale so perfect. Maybe they'll return but I think Kerry and Kurtan will remain in our hearts and minds and probably just talk about Robert Robinson now and again ...

There are definitely big cats roaming the countryside. I live near Nailsworth about 30mins away from Northleach where This country was filmed. I had my own big cat encounter about 8 years ago. I keep chickens and I often go to bed late around 12-1am and I walk about 200metres down the garden to close the door to the chicken coop before I go to bed. On the other side of the coop there is an 8ft hedge with a slight clearing in the middle where 2 different hedges meet and on the other side is a large field. Anyway it must have been around 1am and I went down to shut the door to the coop I shut the door and heard a loud commotion behind the hedge and could hear a pheasant obviously in distress and flapping it’s wings this is odd as pheasants don’t come out at night. I looked through the clearing in the hedge and saw a pheasant running followed by a big black cat which quickly caught it. I was pretty terrified at that point and quickly made my way back up to the house. In case your wondering how I saw it in the dark I had a torch and the house has 4 very bright flood lights so I could see pretty well. 8 years later the image has still not left my mind and instead of walking down to the chickens at night I now go down on a quad bike. About 2 weeks after this my auntie and cousin we’re driving back home from my house and both of them say they saw a big cat run across the road. This was on the A46 between Calcot and Nailsworth. I know it’s hard to believe unless you’ve seen it yourself but trust me these cats are living in the British countryside.

not really, big cats were illegally released from private collections which were closed down in the 1970s. There were definitely legit sightings around then, they could have bred or others released later.
