Today was my first important career-related exam, and even though I had prepared well, I couldn’t stop worrying about failing and disappointing my parents and relatives. At the very last moment, I panicked and didn’t show up for the exam. Now my result will be marked as absent, and I feel like I’ve let everyone down. I’ve cleared all my high school and colleges exams with good results, but this exam felt so different because of how important it is for my future. The fear of failure was so overwhelming that it completely stopped me from even trying. The next chance to take this exam will be in June-July 2025, and I don’t want this fear to hold me back again.
