I’m so impressed that 8 years off, you still have the compassion to help the rest of us out. Most people would just move from that chapter in their life. Know it’s very much appreciated Dan. I’m about 2 weeks off diazepam.

It’s the mind/body connection. Neuroscientists are diving very deep into this right now. These are things that Eastern Culture has known for centuries, but western medicine is actually demonstrating and proving this with modern technology. It’s quite fascinating.

Excellent points on how to deal with the waves in a positive manner. This process takes time and having great support around you going thru this. Early of probably the first 6 months I don't think I would be able to comprehend what you are saying. I am guilty of bitching about my symptoms and to be honest they had overwhelmed me early on and still do sometimes. (I had no coping skills drugs were my coping mechanisms). I just had to find some strength inside to not end it and deep down believe I could heal even if I couldn't see it. Dan and Donna in particular have helped guide me through this and doing this alone I could not fathom. Buidling up my toolset to better handle things thru this process I believe will pay off because if we can get through this than what else can bring us down. At a little over a year off benzo/drugs I can and do believe I will heal. Do I slip up make mistakes your darn right, but the difference is being aware of your mistakes and learning from them plus having support around you that keeps you honest and doesn't judge you. I envision myself being happy, successful, living life and overall believing I can do what I set my mind to. Just me being able to say this is a sign of healing. Benzos are not you Much Love Bob

Great advice Dan. Keeping my attention and visualization on being fully healed is very veerrrry difficult lol, however I do believe it is key. I believe that there is power in practicing it. And the forums are another big thing, I do not visit them anymore and honestly I feel better mentally. The horror stories and negativity can be too much at times and bring me down so now I avoid them completely and I think it’s been beneficial. Keep up the great work and thank you!

Thank you Dan. Positive visualisation is a great tool to use. I often imagine/ visualise a gang of men in little yellow hard hats working on parts of my body ( when in a wave) sometimes those men have to get in additional workers to finish the job. It helps. “ where attention goes energy grows”.I like that and that’s so true. I shall save this video to watch again. 33 months off the stupid drug now. Thank you.,❤😊

Here's the problem, unless you have family or support through this process of coming off benzos and or psych meds, you're basically on your own. Add to that you gotta pay the bills and this process of coming off is impossible. The unlucky ones like myself will probably have to at the very least micro dose these awful drugs until death; the ugly reality of dependence.

Do you still go through waves man? Is the damage permanent? I’m 4.5 months off of valium 3 years use. I’ve seen improvements and even a few windows but I’m wondering like…will I be sensitive to things forever? Will antibiotics and other things cause setbacks forever?

I do not get waves any longer. But, I had one as recently as 2 years ago. I believe that was the last one I’ve had. Now, I do have worsening of symptoms but I wouldn’t call them a wave because it’s nothing like it used to me. It would be like comparing mt Everest to a small sandhill.
