The thing is you are seeing this pic on a video explaining it in context. If you just happened to come across this pic on twitter you might have had a different reaction. @cnsmooth8 жыл бұрын
Because those people didnt go through slavery and a time were someone could really ride someone like a donkey against their will, never occurred in their history. To see it outside of that context is wrong, even though I do think people complaining have misread what she was saying.

Basically he was difficult to work with and made other team members work a lot more difficult for basically no good reason whatsoever so after 3 days of him being troublesome he got reported. He accused half of the team for being racist and continued being useless until they fired him 2 days later. WTF? Milos Grubic Summary: I am black. I don't follow BLM. You lumped me into a group and projected false statements onto me. You are an ignorant hypocrite who doesn't practice what he preaches. Which is unity. I knew you would think I was the one asking for self pity as your post said. However I am not. That's why I said to go find one and ask them how they feel. The problem is you are a hypocrite. You say things like there is only the human race, but you continue to segregate people into defined groups in your mind. You have a bias in your mind and that will have to be resolved someday. Either you will practice what you preach and actually seek the truth and reach out or you will simply become an ignorant person who lumps people into groups and places bad connotations on to that group and assume that you speak from knowledge. You are doing the latter.

Like it or not, the human race was born into and raised by these horrible things, and now that a lot of it has started to be deemed wrong, a hole is being left where it once was. Back when I was a child I was the type of kid who would pretend to be sick to get out of school. I ended up doing this so many times that people eventually stopped believing me when I actually was sick. I remember one day I was in the nurse's office, actually sick, one day and one of my friend who was also sick came in also. The nurse immediately believed him and told the principal that he was being sent home because "I know he is sick because he is not a complainer." That stuck with me throughout the entire rest of my school life. From then on I stopped pretending to be sick and if I went to the nurse it was because I actually was sick. I feel like this is a lesson that these people should have learned when they were kids but were to stupid to figure it out.

You know; when I was growing up, I was always closed off from the world because I would be at home playing video games. I never saw anyone as different races; I always saw them as people. The first time race hit me hard was when I invited a friend to my house in 8th grade (have probably only invited 2-3 kids from school at that point and he was black). My mother said "You can't invite him; I don't want you hanging out with that type of people". Living, treating and looking at people as regular people and not thinking of their race for 13 years; I could not understand why see was saying stuff like "their kind". Then I realized "wait! because he is black"? I told her he's not like the bad people you see on TV; they are not all like that. I already told my friend that he wasn't invited but didn't give him a reason. As my mother saw him walk away, she changed her mind and agreed to invite him. He is still my friend after 10+ years and we treat him like he was part of the family. After this incident; I somehow was able to go back to the world I was living in; a world where I didn't see people for their color, but who they are. This of course changed when I attended a school in the SF area. People talk about "That's racist, black lives matter; etc" and I'm always reminded about race and racism. Now I can't stop thinking about how a black person or Muslim is treated when they cross the street when driving home. It seems like race (at least from experience) becomes a problem when people talk about it 24/7 or when people call out "racist" like the image in this video. If you call racist to this image, then you're probably the racist one for thinking "He's black, she's white, this is racist because white people are superior and blacks are not". If it were the other way around, people would think "She's white and the guy riding the white girl is black; black people are less superior so it's good to see it the other way around; I find this ok". Also, "riding him like a horse/mule"? Why those words? I've seen so many racist comments to know why they used those words. Is It because that's how they see black people? "Horse; mule"? (Giant face palm)

I'd like to quote Yahtzee Croshaw, because I think it's rather relevant; "A society where anyone can make jokes about anyone else and everyone laughs is a truly tolerant society. Political correctness-charged censorship only serves to engender resentment and distance between social groups."

So she posted a pic of her riding on Harambe's back... so what.

I fucking love it when people say they're sick and tired of political correctness. It's just like a damn compliment to me I love it so much!!

Stuff like this make me hate this world. When people cry out racist for NO reason.

Ellen's post seem to be crime against good humor but racism? The main point seem to be how O-some Usain Bolt is.

Well... to be honest I would pay all of my money to be on the back of sprinting Mr.Bolt. While Ellen's post wasn't fun, but Idea of piggyback on sprinting Mr.Bolt sounds indefinate fun.

How can it not be racist? The picture features them in a literal race.

Some people try avoiding racism too much that they think it's everywhere But the more you try the more you become it reminds me of South Park episode about a flag

I do see it to be shit that someone can't post a picture as a joke without people flipping it to make it something it's not.

Generally I find the term "SJW" kind of cliche and stupid because nowadays people call everyone SJWs, but this time using it to describe the people who were offended is appropriate. I'm black and generally I'm not afraid to call out racism, but this time there is nothing to call out. People need something to complain about these days.

definition of racism, treating/viewing someone differently due to their race or racial features. The best way to combat racism is to just treat everyone respectfully and see them as an individual, not just a instance of a stereotype.

I can see how someone could misinterpret the picture as being racist because Usain Bolt looks like a slave and has a weird accent. He doesn't even sound Jamaican.
