No parking…:no chance Steve….when I first started I took on all parts of jobs with parking issues, no side access etc…soon learnt they weren’t for me. Binned them off and so much better for it. As you know time is money, can’t spend ages looking for a parking space or moving kit back and forth from 200m away…

I never have trouble parking my gardening van,i have it lit up like a christmas tree with orange flashing beacons and carry a couple of road cones ,its amazing what having it lit up like a christmas tree lets you get away with

I try and avoid places that I can’t park, I do have one that I have to park miles away but I drop the tools off and pick them up later. I have the Milwaukee strimmer, pole saw and hedge cutter and it’s great, I think you just fave a Friday afternoon Stihl unit 😟 Mighty hot today 4 litres of water helped.

Maybe the machine was too hot? Manufacturers of machinery, over complicate things, I think. That's a lot of garden! Do you use ladders for tall hedge trimming or a maximum reach trimmer? You probably have it all covered. I expect.

I am positive you will do very well, I don't think it matters to much when you start self-employed, there is always lots of work out there for those of us that are willing and able. I've been going for a couple of years. Started full time and then went part time due to having another business alongside. Fast forward to today and that has taken a nose dive and I need to pick up a few more gardening jobs to easy the pressure a bit... Is Facebook still a good bet for advertising? On one of the local hub pages, whenever someone posts asking about a gardener, they get a crazy amount of responses and it feels like it's hard to compete with the amount of gardeners out there. Do you think there is enough work to go around still? I haven't started pushing the advertising again yet (haven't advertised for about 18 months) but plan on over the next week or two. Cheers

we had one where there was only 1 place to park, we were there for 10 minutes, and had to park in front of someones drive, They complained, in 5 years I never saw anyone use the drive, in the end we had to park miles up a street, you had some guts doing that kind of entrails🤣 lol I had the 131r You have to service them very often, mine kept cutting out. as for leaving the van, its a pain constantly fumbling for keys locking and unlocking, we quit at about 12 it was too hot, nice job matey, see you sunday

Lovely properties, but my goodness, the parking! I am lucky at most places I go to, but even those with their own drive, people often don't give the space or chance to reverse in as they race by. You certainly got a lot done in that heat despite your machine not working. People don't seem to realise that al though we have the tools to do the job in hand, we generally have to have a back up. And just because we upgrade doesn't mean we have to discard the old one that has served us well as it may well continue to do so.

Hi Steve shame about your km135 must be just a one off problem maybe and if under 1 year old stihl should replace it if not fix it I’ve had mine over 2 years and it’s been used heavily for hedge cutting , reductions with pole saw and other attachments never had an issue

Not had one bit of problem with my km135r 2 1/2 yrs old. worst thing is the stupid speed control. use with ap100 200 & 300s battery's, but when you want something to work it has to work. Nice work steve.

I'm very select on what jobs I take on because I use a trailer. I'd get a van but nowhere to park it at home as it would another vehicle on the driveway. Only had one theft, a strimmer, and that was a pain to renew. Everything is locked up now. But parking a trailer has big issues in Closes or dead end roads.

I permanently tow a lockable trailer so parking is up there when looking at new job. Most I can reverse onto drive others you have to be early to park in street. I managed to last until 3pm yesterday in the heat, it was toasty. I like your editing style, it reminds me of ‘Brilliant’ from the Fast Show. 👍 Stay hydrated !

I was told about 10 years ago that BT paid around £2 million a year in fines so as it could get to its customers. A huge percentage was in London alone..

Good video, yes i won't park on the side of the road at all! Been broken into six times over the years, so either customers drive or nothing but it does become difficult when using trailer.

yes , I had a bit of running around to do, when I was working there I had to park quite far away, then a space came up and I moved into it, fun & games. Weekend off now, so it's all good ! Thanks for commenting Steve
