Several of these were gorgeous. My favorite kitchen was actually our college apartment’s galley. despite it being literally from the 70s with harvest gold color scheme and all, it was so efficient and so easy to keep lingering guests out of my work space! Our big open marble picture perfect kitchen now is just that, perfect for a picture but not cooking 😮

TY for the video. I have a galley kitchen w an eat in area at one end of the galley. It has a large window at this end. This kitchen has served our family well for years but right now I am working on opening the small pantry which was limited to 15 1/2" but can be made deeper & we are removing the door and bringing the pantry walls all the way to the ceiling. Unfortunately the rest of the kitchen has soffits so unless I want to spend more money they will have to stay for now. Thanks again. Love Aquas, blues, and whites in various combos for kitchens.

I have a large galley kitchen. Two people could cook easily. I struggle with the placement of my pantry and fridge with a bump out that includes the chimney.

The first kitchen shown, at 0:25 is a true galley kitchen (my favourite of those featured). However, there were quite a few kitchens shown that aren't true galley kitchens: ex., U-shaped kitchens (esp. if not narrow), or square kitchens with a peninsula worktop seperating it from the adjoining space, or galley kitchens so wide that they have (or could have) free-standing work islands in the middle of the room. Also, a kitchen with a run of cabinets along a wall and with a long island parallel to it in a vast space, while a 'corridor kitchen' of sorts, doesn't provide the efficiency of a true galley kitchen as the absence of one long wall reduces storage within a compact work triangle.
