They are both Excellent beautiful RPG's. Dragon XI is one of the best RPGS ever made bare minimum at least in the last two console generations. I agree about Man of Medan too. One thing I’ve done is itemize my whole library of games (about 850) on a website like backloggery.com. They have a feature on there called fortune cookie, when I can’t decide I will set some parameters like what system I feel like playing, if it’s a game I haven’t played yet or one I’ve been working on finishing, select open fortune cookie and play whatever it gives me

Totally agree Reggie, as our time is limited, the choice of games to play becomes vitally important. My decision is shaped by four criteria: 1) GOTY worthiness, 2) nostalgia/classic factor, 3) personal preferences and 4) time required to beat (shorter is generally better, if 50+ hours, the game HAS to be a masterpiece). I'm extremely picky and go only for games that tick most of these boxes, that way I know my time is well invested.

I feel that in some ways we have a similar pattern. We buy games we want to play. This is totally me. When something catches my eye and I want to have that experience I buy it. Most of the time this is fine and I feel ok about going through my library to choose the next game to play. Sometimes I get overwhelmed when a whole bunch of games come out at the same time that I want to beat and games that I want to play continue to release. I have very little self control when it comes to picking and choosing between a whole bunch of games I want to play. I hope that I can get to all the games that I have at some point. In my head that if games ever go completely digital, that may be the time I stops buying new releases and just start hitting my backlog.

I work about 60 hrs a week, trying to start my own company, and art, and still play games lol. It’s difficult especially with different time variables for games to truly enjoy or embrace. I agree with buying what you like, genre, or what you have already completed. Always good to play a favorite.

Having less time when you're older is so true. As a college student and having a pretty large collection compared to the average person, it isn't always easy to make time for all of the games I pick up.

I'm like you reggie I loved RPGs still do but with this whole adulting business I cant seem to invest the time I need to, so I've mainly stuck with quick games, fighting games I managed 60hrs in Persona 5 but havent gone back as I lack the time, I feel your pain!

I have actually gotten better in the past year or two about buying only one or two games a year at release. I bought Sekiro day one to play with a friend and I am buying Borderlands 3 day one to play with that same friend. I have a backlog of somewhere around 400 games to play but most of my backlog is stuff I got for free through Twitch Prime, Epic Game Store, Playstation Plus and the rare free game through Humble Bundle, Steam or GOG. Out of my entire backlog, I'd say I have about 100 must play games that I will be trying to prioritize over the next few years to get back on track. Here's hoping.

I jump from system to system and sometimes get caught up trying to beat a game because the story or gameplay really draws you in... then like you said, you’re trying to do the adult thing and get side tracked. The struggle is real.

I cant even imagine having games like today back in 1993 when I graduated. I would have never left the house lol.

To me it goes like this your not going to LOVE every game you buy I know it's sucks but we've all bought games we thought we were going to LOVE and it just doesn't live up to your expectations But when you play a game you REALLY like it seems to me that you FIND the time to play it just seems to work out .Another great video from the Radical one 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Agreed it does get to be a thing when you have so many games you don't know when you'll get to them, definitely have to get more selective with the mass amount of games released now. Also the thing about watching some playthroughs instead of buying the game is pretty enjoyable for certain games

Story of my life rn. I have to start being more of an “adult” so I have less time to play. Damn do I miss it bad

I agree with you. I have only 3 or 4 hours for the all week to play. Rpgs are out of cuestion. :(

Every game i buy, i want to play, beat, and know that its right their for me to replay if i want to play again. Their some RPGs that left impression and shaped younger me, that made me a better person that i am today. I am proud to own since my childhood. I am looking at you Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy Tactics, monster hunter, shin megami tensei, resident evil 2, and demon souls. =p (edited forgot to add Final Fantasy Tactics, that game is a rollercoaster of emotions.]

I have time to play games but I don't have time to edit panels.

Short answer: No, I do not have enough time. I have a crazy backlog, not to mention the stuff in my collection that I will never get to. I find myself having to cut into my sleep, either late nights when the fam is asleep or early mornings on the weekends. That’s my dedicated time

You know as sad as I am that things are going towards digital-only, a part of me can’t wait, so I can give up on buying new games and play my backlog. I work for a living, and if I never bought another game I could never play all the games I have. I’m kind of disgusted with this collector I’ve become!

Nope. And when I do have time I can't decide what to play. FML

I used to work 80+ hours a week and still had time for gaming every night, now I only work 40 a week and feel like I have so little time. For me currently, it's a struggle trying to balance my time on my days off between catching up on my housework, relaxing and spending time with my gf and her children. In the end I don't have much time for me in general. I keep collecting because I'm sure I'll eventually be able to play again, and I don't want to miss out on getting certain games before their value becomes too restrictive.
@marciobr7184 Жыл бұрын
Answer is, no. hahahah But that's ok. I'll play them all eventually!

Yes, this is an issue that seems to always be a work in progress. 80 percent of my games are of the 2D action or arcade racing variety. Most of them aren't terribly time consuming and gratify quickly. This relieves matters for me, but time is precious and real life happens.
