I heard people in Hong Kong sing the same song as they struggle for democracy in their own land. This seems like it's becoming the anthem for people fighting for democracy.

It’s why I also get choked up when I think of “We, The People” because democracy is government OF the people, FOR the people, BY the people. It’s one of the most profound and deep truths of life - the people should be able to choose how they are governed. It’s part of the very fabric of the social contract.

not just that, they're standing in the rain to express their outrage at injustice and stand up for righteousness. and help inspire and activate the rest of us ,to do what we can .thanks from aus .this really hits the spot . and it's a warning to out of control authority that's been repeated throughout history. don't piss the people off, to the point of activating them otherwise they'll be a terrible price you have to pay because the people are the real power .ask Nicolae and Elena Ceaușescu if this is right . now we have to free the russian people from their corrupt ,power abusing government . because the russian people have been under trodden for toooo long . they need to take a leaf out of Botswana's book . i hear they're a corrupt free zone .or they used to be and their economy is going like a train.just imagine how russia would thrive being corruption free and friendly .it would be a sight to behold . i'm not just singing for the ukrainians but for russian dissidents who i my eyes and heart are true patriots and hero's and heroines . they need our support BIGTIME

Your country - your responsibility. It's your choice to live in a such way. When you understand this maybe you will become free. But you don't, only if civil war will begin or something that touch you personally you understand what's making the choice. I don't say that you personally make the choice to be slave. But think more about history of your country as empire of evil and ask yourself why your citizens come to kill mine compatriots. Kill in a way worse than nazi did...

@@ЛобоваЮля-т8щ you don’t know my story I never voted for Putin. I was arrested at the protest. I know very many people with the same position and the same story. What should I have done? Is it my choice? Do you ever been arrested for your position?
@ЛобоваЮля-т8щ
@ЛобоваЮля-т8щ Жыл бұрын
@@НинаАндреева-п7м I'm not russian to be arrested for my position. Ukrainians died in the Revolution of Dignity to live free. And I'm so grateful to them for it. I saw protests in russia. Those who find dignity and conscience inside souls to go there are people I can a bit respect. (however, you said "many", which means many from your perspective, not many from the point of view of the number of people in russia; how many support this war you know? how many wish for Ukrainians' death?) And you maybe know what it is to be under a bomb attack? How does it feel about leaving your home due to war? Or perhaps you know what is it when any time you can die due to a bomb (I'm still in Ukraine and I literally can die even now if there are many rockets and if our army cannot knock them all down). Maybe you also know what is it cold in winter without electricity. How it feels when your hometown day by day, step by step, a little but is destroyed by weapons... Again: not all Germans were nazi, but all were responsible for their government (it's not my thought, but Germany's intelligentsia). The same with you, agree with this idea or not, but this is true. As I have written, "I don't say that you personally make the choice to be a slave". But many of your citizens do...
