I was one of the many singers in this choir. Like every song festival that I have sang in, I cried my heart out here also whilst singing. For Ukraine and all the heartbreak, pain and disaster that our brothers and sisters there have to endure. For Estonian past that has had to deal with the same exact invaders. For our combined hurts that only the countries that have had to deal with Russia on this level really understand. Our singing for freedom truly began in 1869 during the rule of russian empire tzar with our first national song festival, which carries on now with 70000 singers. Democracy was never given to those Ukrainian Russians who have always lived in the land they were born in, the Ukraine. Democracy has never been shown as when one government bans an entire Races language, then bans their speaking that language, arrests their media and jails their reporter's, arrests people who speak Russian in public, ban the Language in schools right up to the University level, then restricts their religion and then pushes then out into the eastern states to be bombed and killed. 14000 dead people between 2014 and 2022 and you say Democracy.
