You're the best ATPL channel I've found in ages. God bless you mate.

The way I remember which pressure is which is; if I'm looking at the altimiter, if I want to increase the altitude I wind UP and if I want to decrease the altitude I wind DOWN. Hope this helps, in the example above, if I wind from 1013 to 1003, I'm going to wind down and the altimiter is going to show a lower altitude and vice versa

Hey man. Great video once again! I'm currently in ground school and struggling to figure out when I do and don't need to use the Barometric and temperature formulas? (QNH-Subscale) etc. Would they be applicable to this question? I would have thought so until I saw you're using a different method?
@PilotEd6 жыл бұрын
I dont follow sorry, there are various methods and formulas you can use, I just find the ones above are the simplest to understand. hope that helps:)

I do like how you explain it.. It's very detail and easy to understand. But, where do you get the 4ft/1000ft? I don't get it :( please explain. Thanks :)
@PilotEd6 жыл бұрын
Its just the formula 4ft change for every 1000ft for every degree deviationg from ISA :)
@andisalihuddin39316 жыл бұрын
Ok.. So, that's(the formula) from ISA right?

Nice explanation, but i don't get it where do you get this 4x8x5 formula? every 4ft in a thousand feet which means 250 times in a thousand feet there's a 5 degree celcius change?? i'm totally confused man XD
@PilotEd6 жыл бұрын
THE FORMULA IS 4FT FOR EVERY 1000FT FOR EVERY DEGREE OF ISA DEVIATION THAT EXISTS, HAVE ANOTHER LOOK AT THE VIDEO :) THANKS FOR WATCHING
