actually in low elo drakes are pretty high ranked for junglers so forcing a gank botside is just far more shiny for them to get a drake. you can even see that happen at the end of the video on the minimap.

as he said, he should have warded earlier. That first gank shouldn't have even worked because he would have seen graves coming. Plus if the graves ganks a second time, McBaze was still sitting on flash and has a big health advantage over the Oriana. Graves ganking a second time, would be a mistake

What I'd love to see you guys do is a guide on how to enter and execute team fights as a melee bruiser, especially when you are the only frontline. Like when to flank, when to front to back, when to stick to front, when to pull off a fight and when to continue/dive. When to know that you can possibly turn the outcome of a fight that may seem lost already etc, those moment when you kinda close your eyes and hope for the best. I think having some basic knowledge to stick to in those situations would help calming down and execute these fights better.

That is something which IMO is just practice practice and practice. I recommend playing arams, although u don't have the TP flank etc, it's a nice way to limit test. I also recommend watching streams of that champion of EUW/KR GM+

Just wondering at 5:43 why not just back? It's a cannon wave into the tower and I think you get a free recall, come back with another dblade or just cull depending on how you wanna play the lane. Wouldn't that be better?

It would be good, but not better. Staying and pressuring gets him and his team more than taking a good recall. Normally you would take the recall because staying is too risky, but in low elo he is free to do what he did there.

The wave is too small, ori would have enough time to push it back and crash, resulting in a net loss for you + ori gets to breathe.

i must admit this channel has helped me grow for almost a year, but i lack some more "higher elo" content as i've been stuck in d3-d2. Most of the content is heavily reliant on gold elo (which is where most people are, true). My eyes bleed watching orianna and i am completely sure i can smash her too if i smurfed in gold elo, but these are major mistakes that are easy to punish paying a little bit of attention. The higher i've climbed, i noticed that lanes are won out of tiny mistakes that are hard to identify while playing and i wish i could see a video about those soon. Anyway, the content you provide is still 10/10, dont get me wrong

I'm curious as to what you were thinking regarding graves' position as you went for that final dive. You were very dead if he was in the area, so i was wondering if you were able to discern his location through jungle tracking or if you spotted him on the minimap some time prior to the dive. You had no vision anywhere on the map and graves wasn't ganking your overextended lanes.

Seriously, there's other key aspects if the lane that they never talk about and think low elo is just really really terrible. It's not as bad as they think. Sivir gets a kill, runs into Graves, graves kills her, now the Graves jg has a kill adn can influence other lanes better. Or she fucking dies under turret to the Orianna, now the burst AP mage has a kill and the lane MIGHT be over because it's very eays for Ori to set up a kill for Graves once sh'e six. Sivir either has to spellshield the QW burst, or spellshield the ultimate.

That's what I thought. Freeze the wave, punish when Ori goes to last hit. That will make a slowpush eventually and then you can dive :P

Ori can unfreeze pretty safely (especially in mid lane), and she relies more on levels than Sivir does, so leaving her in exp range could actually let her catch up (at least between recalls). You need to kill her and crash waves in order to deny properly. It also lets you roam or get plates in order to accelerate yourself and not just deny her.

For this video, it was to show how to snowball the lane by yourself since in low elo you can't rely on your jungler to take advantage of your freezes.

If you freeze the wave, you can deny her a lot of experience and minions, yes, but by freezing you also concede lane priority. Ori could either fake roam to bait you into breaking the freeze, or actually roam. If she stays, she loses XP and minions, if she just roams she has the chance to pick up a random kill, so it'd be the best option for her. Alternatively, in high elo, she can call her jungler to fix the wave for her, or ping him so they can both invade the enemy while you're stuck freezing the wave (because if you leave the enemy wave might crash into your turret). It's why freezing is generally not an ideal move to get a lead in mid lane, but it's viable top because of how far the lane is.

6:10 In low Elo sometimes if they ganked and didn’t get anything they will scan ward in a bush and wait for you to push to get another gank from your back. If they failed the gank again they’re going to do the same thing. Until they get you killed. I think that’s why lower elo jungler has poor cs, but it’s really annoying for lower elo player to deal with ganks every 20 seconds

8:50 I think this tower dive is really bad, Sivir was literally 1hp because of the towershots, so Orianna almost got a kill on her as well and as she is lower level, that would have actually helped Ori more than Sivir.

That would theoretically be correct if it wasnt for the following: Sivir built up a slow push. This means, that the moment she dives Ori, there are about 8 to 12 minions under the enemy tower. These minions are a garanty that if you get the kill on the enemy mid you will come up ahead. That is because when ori dies, she looses all that gold and xp, while her wave slowpushes back into sivir without her loosing more than like 3 cs. This is REALLY important and is the big strength of a slow push. So if you know that you can kill the enemy like this, you will always win lane, even if you die.

Nobody gonna mention the ward at enemy red? This allows you to know Graves pathing through out the lane. When you say you should have warded, I am inclined to disagree. If you ward there, you will potentially run into the Graves as he is doing the gank, potentially losing flash. We know Graves is around raptors/Red, as he still hadnt shown on red when the ward timed out. From there it is 2 paths for Graves, either taking red into scuttle/krugs/gank or ganking into scuttle. Ganking is a decent option given the amount of pressure you're putting on midlane by being far up the lane. A good gank could secure 2x scuttle for the Graves. If we want to eliminate the ganking possibility from Graves we should position differently in lane. As we know where Graves should be, your positioning in lane ought to be opposite, so you should be botside of the lane. Alternatively, you can ping the red yourself and use your teams top/mid lane prio to invade the Graves. But, as you say, this is low ELO, so we dont need to play correctly to win... I also see a lot of people commenting that they got everything right, which is great! I just hope that they also got the reasoning for the plays correctly, which is something that you guys at skillcapped should emphasise more imo. For example my reasoning for the slowpush is to get roams/vision/plates not to dive. The fact that i didnt consider the merits of diving Orianna makes my decision process flawed. It is not the answer which is important, but the reasoning behind that answer. I hope that this criticism doesn't come off as cocky or anything, as I am genuinely a big fan of your content. I just want to see the content improve ever so slightly :)

Im not that experienced with the game but from my understanding, it would depend on what elo u are in/other factors like champs but i feel like in high elo vods, I see mid laners stick with their jg more and play with their jg a lot more (from helping them take scuttle/amking sure they can do it safely by being there to following ganks to deep warding) - in low elo i rarely see that - but i think its good to help ur jg - because objectives lead to u winning the game - kills in the end are a way of getting gold and putting behind opponents but they ultimately allow u to get objectives and win the game right - so I think priositising fast rotation and working with ur jg to get objectives and gank other lanes so u can get the rest of ur team ahead is good - say ur jg gets invaded and u go help out (ur jg dies but at least u kill enemy and get a nice big fat double buff) - it can work for u - but like dont play the comprimise game where u try and help someone super behind and end up feeding the already fed ahead carry on the enemy - maybe instead focus on ur win condition - as a mid laner u wanna help the lanes who will carry get ahead - sorry long rant but hopefully this helps/gives u food for thought - would be cool to hear what others think/learn from others too! :) On other thoughts tho - if u harass and push ur lane and have lane prior u should be able tp help ur jg as a bonus/get to skirmishes faster and be more healthy in comparison to ur mid opponent if they chose to follow. a little bit of correction. You're always saying "because this is low elo." Therefore, graves ganking mid and knowing it's location is not really an advantage. Again, since it is low elo, no one tracks jungle and that's not an advantage unless graves in the lane ganking their lane again, since it's low elo.

Im a Master Midlaner and Apperantly I answered every single Question wrong. Dont take this Video to serious in the end you can have the best gamesence in the World but if you have no mechanics you also can't climb since Gamesence mostly only helps in Higher Elo as in Lower brackets like I would say anything below Plat you can always make the wrong decision but can turn it into a good one with the Mechanics. Dont waste your time on Guides that provide knowledge if you dont know how to use it perfectly. I can see most Players failing on this dive and also you cant argument that Graves should be botside because in those elos everyone just runs around everywhere with 0 sence of what they think they are doing only use and thats why gameknowledge doesnt always work in low elo.

So apparently my problem is being to cautios and not pushing the lead enough. I would probably go for a cheater recall for a second doran blade at 3rd wave before warding against Graves. And I would also never go for that dive because I tend to consider mechanical plays with some random dmg calculations a coinflip. Even if you both die there it is probably good for you because you are not the one losing CS but why risking that when you can just go for macro.

its not a freeze, its slow pushing, because there are equal minions and its nearer to your tower, if there are 4 more enemy caster minion then yea, its freezable, freeze happens after you bounce your wave into the enemy tower, its slow pushing back to you and the enemy cant crash his wave into your tower.

Only thing in the whole clip I wouldn't have done is dive her. If only because I would have died. I would have used my time to poke her a bit more get plate and then pull back to respect her ult. Is there a way to counter your 3rd mission? In one game i played vs a velkoz (as zed) and he kept pushing, thus i couldnt roam or do anything during the lane phase... any way to prevent this?

Bruh, you are playing zed. You have no mana = means you have more time to set up your lane. Use that time to poke Vel Koz a bit with your abilities (even if u miss some CS, in a melee vs ranged matchup first couple of minutes it is more important for the melee to trade than to farm) Once you grt Vel Koz to 50% hp u can go all in on him, maybe pop his flash/barrier or plain kill him - this will force him to play the lane more passively for the rest of the game (scared from you all in again while he has no summs) and give you a good amount of uncontested wave clear which will allow you to set up a slow push in order for you to roam efficiently without losing any more CS. Zed vs any ranged champ is the same bro - use ur manaless special powers... I really do hope this was helpful my man - although I really despise zed mid :D

also a tip against mages specifically (this is considering you are assasin mid) - never use your dodge mechanic before the mage uses their CC mechanic.Hold it. Most mages can't burst you down without their CC because their abilities are skillshots. You can usually win trade if you dodge their CC even if you only managed to hit your autos (which is rarely the case for a melee assasin). So - basically Oriannas, Vel Kozes, Viktors, Cassios - dodge their CC and win the trade.

Welp looks like my fundamentals are good. Personally, I don't like diving unless I know I can hard burst them, so I usually freeze while zoning them out and if I am diana I usually poke a lot so they have no chance even if I don't have ult and all in them if they overstep. Or if I'm a hard roaming champion then I build up the wave to setup a wave timer and head over to ward then gank a lane that looks gankable, but I don't trust my teammates to be helpful, so I only gank if I think I can 1v2 basically XD
