First of all great video!!! I just bought an ‘18 SG and I had a very loud boom 4.3 bought a 6.5gt and installed it and it is significantly more quiet. How do I fix this by putting in the code from the old radio? Or do I have to flash it?

I have a 2017 RG Limited with aftermarket speakers in the fairing and lowers and an amp. I purchased a 2022 RG Limited and I am transferring everything to the new bike. I know I need to get the HD head unit flashed but I was wondering if it will damage anything if listen to the radio before having it flashed?

If the amp was set for a flashed radio and you have not flashed the new radio you will blow your speakers listening to it before the flash, plus the bass boost pre flash try’s to blow them even if you retune the amp

I just installed a picasso nano 600 watt amp and two Polk 6.5 DS+ speakers in my 23 RGS. I'm pretty sure the stock GTS HU should be flashed. Even though the supplier/builder of the plug-and-play Amp says it doesn't. What do i do, how do I find out if it does or not?

I have the SI model in my 23 road glide and everything time I start the bike the clock rest sets to 8:00 is there a fix for this,I hooked everything up the way it showed,anyone else have this problem?

The only reason it would reset would be due to a wireless adapter that is interfering with the clock. The radios time updates automatically to your phones time but some add on adapters also send an incorrect date and time

I have a '16 ultra ltd with the 6.5" GT. Have watched ( and followed ) the instructions several times but absolutely won't go in to svc mode ! Radio does not go to the "accept" screen- it goes to the screen with the small H-D emblem and the time display. What gives !?

The factory radio is very slow to turn on, make sure it has a little time to turn on before holding the button

@@volunteeraudio I have the tour pak currently removed so no rear speakers and there are DTC's indicating the radio recognizes this ( codes b1306,b1342, b1350). Do you think this could be preventing radio from entering the svc menu? Tried waiting as you suggested but no dice! Even tried Doc Harley's method ( press and hold then turn to ACC position but still doesn't go to the "accept" screen. Stumped! Thanks in advance

Finally got it! Whew! What a PITA! Got it on second try ( this is after a dozen or so unsuccessful tries the day before! ) . 1st try unsuccessful so left radio powered on then turned ignition switch off. On previous attempts when I followed the procedure the radio booted up rather quickly when switch turned to IGN but on this attempt the radio booted up noticeably slower -so this is what I did; Turned key to IGN-wait about three secs-press and hold power/mute button then accept screen appeared-continued to hold button for a couple more secs then released button, tap "accept" and voila! Service mode finally! Hope this helps someone. Many thanks to volunteer audio for their truly useful and informative vids!

Wrong flash, not a great amp choice either, get the correct flash and retune it,

I got my 2022 RG Limited, with 1 Arc Audio 720w amp driving 2 upper fairing speakers and 2 lower fairing speakers, flashed and it has the 08_OFF.bin flash. According to your Bin code chart I need to have it re-flash to the 130_off.bin. I called the shop that did the flash and he said he installed the flash that was recommended by Arc Audio and he does not recommend changing it and he is NOT willing to re-flash it! I think it might be because he doesn't know how. The system sounds good and I plan on installing a Sound Stream V2 over the winter. In your opinion, will the 130 flash will make it sound so much better that it's worth the time and effort to have it done? If so, do you know of anyone in the Northern Indiana / Southern Michigan area that can do the 130 flash?

@@jimv3352 08off flash has a bass boost that’s needs fixed, yes we always recommend using an amplified flash and have a full list of acceptable flashes, your amp will also need gains reset after the flash. Find your closest TechnoResearch dealer at TechnoResearch.info
