Jay as always you and your Team are at the forefront for bringing us the best possible audio for our rides. Great video tutorials as well Question I have is once you have the amp figured out for these speakers for kick ass sound. Whats going to happen with any updates harley does to the 23/24 infotainment system?

No issue with updates, our amp interface connects via a2b, Harley keeps updating the amp which is changing the internal eq curves in the amplifier and total output. We will have these preset and our interface is usb updatable but will not be affected by radio updates

The hertz speakers are 4 Ohm, is that okay replacement for factory speakers?
@volunteeraudio11 ай бұрын
Absolutely, this amp dropped about 10 watts with 4ohm speakers and they are about 6db more efficient than the factory Rockford speakers, 3db is equivalent to doubling your power so those 10 watts lost are nothing compared to the huge db increase from the better speaker efficiency. When we release our plug n play amp upgrade the 4ohm speakers will be a better choice for future expansion too

question.. aren't the rockford fosgate speakers and amp a 20hms? the Hertz are 4 ohms. wouldn't that be a problem?
@volunteeraudio8 ай бұрын
Not a problem at all, the hertz speakers are so much more efficient that they are much louder and the amplifier sounds better at 4ohm, less distortion, plus once we release our plug n play amp upgrade you can run up to 8 speakers off our amp if they are 4ohm
@MikkoYlitalo-i1b11 ай бұрын
I have already installed H-D upgrade 6x9. What if I would like to buy Hertz fronts and later your amp, do they fit together? Second question is why do you increase mid-up frequencies and drop base? Why not keeping mid-up in centerline and drop base from that?
@volunteeraudio11 ай бұрын
The hertz speakers are an upgrade over your 6x9’s too, there is a bass boost on the radio that is so high the bass needs to be lowered to get more output of the stock amp and remain clear. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHS9qHWFlrGXedUfeature=shared
@MikkoYlitalo-i1b11 ай бұрын
@@volunteeraudio yes, I understand that but I find odd that first all frequencies are increased to the top from the center level. Why not keep the rest in zero and lower only the base?

@@MikkoYlitalo-i1b watch the video I shared about the stock eq, these settings get the most power from the stock amplifier in our testing using meters to verify
@MikkoYlitalo-i1b11 ай бұрын
@@volunteeraudio I have understood that the flash H-D dealer made after installing 6x9 changed the original EQ. However, after the flash all of those factory EQ preset settings were far too much base. Terrible. So I reduced base 1-3 lowest ones a lot but left the rest in middle. This was new for me that there is more power available from the amp if EQ is set higher. It seems that 6x9 Rockford-Fosgate and Hertz all speakers are 4 ohm so should fit for future upgrades. I placed the order for the front 165 speakers. Looking forward the amp availability if needed.

@volunteeraudio10 ай бұрын
Your amp is smaller in power than even the one in this video, to get a volume increase we would upgrade the amplifier, speakers alone are minimal difference so we usually do amp and speakers together on your model

The 6.5 Hertz in fairing are they 200 watts RMS?
@volunteeraudio27 күн бұрын
Hertz is a company that under promises and over performs, the sx165neo are rated at 100 watt rms / 200 watt peak, but they use the same woofer, voice coil, magnet and basket as the sv165neo which are 200 watt rms. We never have an issue sending near double the rms power to them
