The perfect cooling setup is a 4 step thing. 1. get blackout blinds for your room. 2. install Ir lights in the room. 3. install a Halo strap on your quest and fully remove the facial interface push the headset back nearer your face giving you a wider FOV 4. get a fan for your room this will cool you and apparently helps centre you when playing.

I agree with you. The fans need to have settings that can go much lower. Even a very small air flow will have a beneficial effect and of course the slower they go the less power they will use.

This is the first summer time since the quest 3 launched, this will become popular. I have an AMVR facial interface and the passive cooling solution they have with intakes was good enough to avoid fogging during winter, but now as temperatures start rising, I’m starting to have fogging issues

I bought one and it's going straight back. I wear glasses and they don't fit without giving me pain. I wish they would learn to design them for larger heads in mind so it better adapts. Also don't like the nose rubber design since it allows a lot of light in. I will stick with having a fan blowing at my head since my facial interface is vented.
@Jpwinks2 ай бұрын
I have their starp and I love it. Very versatile. I actually hid the grey part of the strap behind the halo and betwee the velcro face cushion to make it more visually appealing when I look at it. The standard quest face mask with a cheap gasket from Aliexpress is getting on my nervse a bit so might order this one to complete the kkcobb set with batteries!
@Eagledocstew7 ай бұрын
Ok, that was just a way to TEST the interface and fan with a halo strap (S3), but you are not advising having two fans at once, right? It does look cool (pun intended) on the Quest 3! But I agree with you, I hope Oblik can come up with a way to connect a fan so I can have the most comfortable interface and keep me cool during intense games (also saw that the KKCOB VR fan IS compatible with the official Meta charging dock)

I used my Meta Quest 2 in the garage for workouts, and the previous version of this interface w/ fan was great. I just bought the Bobovr S3 a few hours ago with my new Quest 3. Didn't realize this came out, so now have to buy this too to compare. Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the recommendation. I ordered one and I've been using it a couple of days now and it's great. The facial interface fits my face much better than the stock one, and I don't find the fan too loud on the low setting. In the past after an hour sometimes my glasses would fog up. But so far that's not happening anymore just using the low fan setting. 👍

90% of facial interfaces are black. White is refreshing but I personally would like a selection of other colors like blue, red, yellow, or even gray. I have a gray one now with the ice silk padding. Thank you for all your great reviews.

I wonder if its possible to open up the K3 and modify the fan with a small resistor or something to run slower, so that the two fan modes are much slower. Then it would be perfect (for me).

1) It keeps coming loose from headset.. very aggravating. I can’t adjust while on my face without the top left corner slipping out 😢 (he mentioned this here: 2:32 ) 2) too narrow to fit glasses!

I've owned Rift CV1, Rift S, Quest 2 and Quest 3 and the only one I've had any fogging with was the CV1. Mind you I mostly play seated in Flight or race sims so that may be why. I cant remain standing for long due to arthritic knees.

I have my quest 3 just for half a year (like everyone) and I have noticed that it’s like swimming glasses. If the temperature of the headset it a lot lower than the temperature of your head then they will definitely fog. You can put it on for 2 minutes and not use it so it can adjust to temperature

If shipping was quicker for the BOBOVR S3 Pro, I would be buying it as I want those batteries. Plus it has a fan at the top to blow on your forehead (where I do sweat the most). This I dunno about. Still want the batteries.

I was quite disappointed with S3 fan. It blows on forehead and not much coming inside. If i fiddle for some time i get more air.I have vented face interface from AliExpress and it doesn't fog much. But using bobovr F2 felt better in dumping heat out.

Thanks for the review. I've been waiting for a facial interface like this since getting the Q3 and I've ordered one (bit nervous about the noise level but worth a punt). The stock interface is so uncomfortable it's put me off using the Q3 too often. Tried the AMVR one but I wasn't keen- I'd been holding out for VRcover but they keep delaying and I wonder if they will ever bring an interface out.
