@@cfx3 i got the quest 3 yesterday and it feels faster, the image is a bit clearer/crisp and the camera is better, mixed reality is cool. (i haven play mixed reality on quest 2 if that was even a thing there) and its much more comfortable than the quest 2, still not comfortable but much less painful cuz its weight less and is smaller

@@cfx3 I got one for my birthday after using the quest 2 for years. It upgrades a lot of little things. Playing games at 60fps with a great resolution, mixed reality, and passthrough with color might not sound like much but it makes playing games completely different

I am waiting for the delivery of my QUEST 3 purchased online yesterday. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. Long sought which one to purchase, and I had understood that the QUEST 3s is a cheaper version of the Quest 3, better lenses they say. Now I am preparing myself for everything I can and should do to have fun when I can unpack the Quest 3. So that is also why I am here.

one mega tip is that you can actually use USB-c drive on meta 3 aswell, just need total commander and a plug in. .. there is a free plugin from microsoft for total commander. .This way you can have all your videos on a 1 or 2 TB usb-c little pendrive:)

That was a real good video with so many pro-tipps ! Thank you for sharing ! A little correction here ( Minute 3:26 ), direct sunlight on the lenses does not cause damage to the lenses ! ..... But it will damage your displays ! Seriously ! Exact like a burnmark when you use a magnifying glass with direct sunlight. It gets very, very hot at the focal point and that will damage your displays forever and that happens in seconds !!

more light the better, its always going to be a little fuzzy though. It's crystal clear in recorded videos though.

I do have an apple Vision Pro with which I am delighted. One of its best features is the ability to replay panoramic photos and immersive photos, that I’ve taken on my iPhone 16, which look stunning. I want to show these in particular to others so have purchased an Oculus Quest 3 since the AVP is both cumbersome for others to wear and needs setting up for each individual. However, I’m very disappointed to discover that those photos are too high in resolution to be displayed as panoramics or immersives on the Quest 3. But the resolution of the panoramic and immersive samples on the Quest are even better than I had hoped. The idea of reducing the resolution of my photos is a complete anathema.

Good overall advice, I've only just recently got my Q3 and some of these features seem to active already without having to go into experimental mode. The bit about how to move your windows around was most useful. One critiq on your video if I may, which I hope will improve future videos. I couldn't quite make out some of the things you were saying, maybe it's nerves or anxiety, but try not to mumble to much, maybe slow down and take a breath, pause, give the watcher time to absorb the information. Like I said, good tips and advice with no fluff. Thanks 👍

I just received mine a few days ago and I'm overwhelmed with what's to learn but I think I'm watching too many "how to" videos. A lot of the content creators are pro at these and forget to slow down at little. Yes I can slow the video down or replay but they still have my head spinning. They should add that travel mode to the hold down meta button menu, so when you want to move around the house you don't have to hold your windows to get them to follow you. I know I'm going to be using it for that

If you want to install your games on someone else's headset you need to add your account and then DISABLE acocunt sharing so you can use the 2nd profile's game. You can also play certain multiplayer games togheter (unless it changed) with 2 headset while buying it once. Your main vr need to be on 2nd person's account with game sharing on and the 2nd person's vr need to be on your main profile with sharing off

@@Kamtar34 I have it always enabled and never experienced such an issue with the Q3 so far. Keep in mind that all this mode does is to allow windows to be positioned above your head when you long-press the Oculus button and are looking towards the ceiling. If you don't do both at the same time, there is no difference so it's totally save to play.

We don't get voice commands in UK I don't think. it isn't in the settings anyway. It took ages for windows voice commands Cortana etc to reach europe but they got here eventually. So maybe quest voice commands will. I hate using them anyway. That picture in Picture thing you mentioned is just a youtube feature for the browser when on youtube. It won't run anywhere else. I have it on my desktop gaming PC. I don't know why voice commands is only in the US because American dialect is almost as varied as British English dialects.

Yes, passthrough is fuzzy, since the cameras aren't high enough quality to display things clearly. It's not the daylight bulbs you bought.

So regarding this sunlight/UV light. @ 3:33 you are in a room with blinds open and clearly looks like daytime so you are getting "sun light" .No one seems to know if this means direct sunlight hitting the actual lenses or in a room with light from sun entering it. Only my theater room and after dark can I use it not in light from the sun. Cant really store it in my office sitting on the desk or open case, so for now keeping it in closet when not in use.

That's just how the passthrough is. In videos it will appear clear, but in the actual headset it will be pretty grainy.

So I bought my 5-year-old a Meta 3 for X-Mas. If you’re going to do it, do it right…lol. He loves Gorilla Tag, but I think his size is affecting his ability to play. Has anyone heard of this? I’ve already tried to go to accessibility and adjust. The height. Still, his gameplay seems off doing certain things like just slapping the ground. He has no problem jumping up if there’s a rock next to him. Also, thanks for your towel/ door mat on hardwood floors. I found a door mat was a perfect trick. It’s saved my house and his controllers.

Not sure how I feel about prescription lenses. Does that mean doctor visits and additional costs? My kids lenses ran well over $400

If your eye doctor prescribed you glasses you can request the numerical details from them. It's just numbers that detail the shape of your eyes. Did you pay 400 for the lenses or the glasses themselves? Often times the frames + the appointment are what costs you the most. Lenses are typically pretty inexpensive. If you have myopia (can see things up close easily) you won't need these. Only if you are farsighted (Hyperopia) or have other eye defects like astigmatism should you consider it.
