The DigiTech Ventura Vibe is an amazing, though often overlooked, unit for the rotary effect.

Yeah I have that it's the best budget rotary /unvibe money can buy. I'm on the hunt for another more expensive rotary pedal now

Danny Gatton got a similar tone by using the Fender amp vibrato and turning down the tone controls on his guitar, which overdrive the speakers and got a Hammond organ type sound like you explained. Btw, the chorus on the song Badge was played by L’Angelo Mysterioso aka George Harrison.

The arpeggiated part of Badge is Eric... George played the excellent rhythm chops.

@@s2seltaeb I see; I was always under the impression that George played that arpeggio on his 12 string but thanks for clarifying. Yes you can hear those chopping stabs as well.

@@vayabroder729 I always thought it was George, too. The middle of "Here Comes The Sun" has a very similar arpeggiated part, as I'm sure you know... and it's interesting how George wrote HCTS in Eric's garden, anyway. Badge came first, though. It's so cool to hear Eric do this one live. I love how they sing, "Where is my badge?!" at the end.

Great snapshot of this one! I have played thru Leslies on occasion (when the studio had one!) and bought the Ventilator II a while back - it's probably the best 'Leslie Pedal' I have come across. Cheers!

Thanks Daniel! I had an Eventide H9 which had a great rotary sim - the Neo is better but also pricey for a single unit when the H9 does so much. Glad you are enjoying the books, more on the way!

I seem to have inadvertently ended up with quite a few rotary sims but none that are dedicated. Lexicon Vortex does it best for me.

I had an Eventide H9 which had a great Leslie sim. Stand alone units like the Neo are expensive when you can get great sims as part of a multi-fx or rack unit.

@@StuartRyanMusic I can well imagine, never had any Eventide but that one's on the bucket list. I think the same can be said for most modulation and pitch based effects. Unless it's somehow crucial to your sound.
