Teleprompting is king! You will get better at it in no time making it hard to notice if you are even using a teleprompter at all. I went with the Glide Gear TMP100, since the Desview T3 was way too flimsy for me personally. My biggest tip is to use a really big font size, since your eyes then don't have to move as much, making it more natural looking. A begginer's giveaway is when you can spot their eyes going through each line of text.

I am a TikTok content creator and I read certain passages of text, they need to be correctly read, I am purchasing this Desview this payday so I can go between showing the page and reading to actually performing to the camera. Your review really just cemented the idea that this could really open up my content and create a whole new format for me. Maybe in the future a KZbin channel is a reasonable option when I get used to it. Thank you for your review and your honest appraisal of genuine need.😊 😊

Happy to be first 👍🏽 enjoyed it as usual. I own this one and enjoy it but upgraded the app to another one and added a blueetooth keyboard for my online courses as I don't find the remote that easy to use

oh cool, what app are you using?

Nice vid, simple to the point while still demonstrating the advantages of a teleprompter. I got the Parrot prompter, my initial uses were terrible and I haven't got the hand of using the remote yet (I talk with my hands a lot, kept showing the remote all the time.

Hello! Thank you for this video. I have a Sony ZEV10 with the kit lens (PZ 16-50). I'm not sure which ring to use to hang the teleprompter. I am not sure if I know how to properly place the ring on the lens, but as far as I can tell, none of the rings that come with the teleprompter seem to fit. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the content, may you please help me to understand how the remote control has to be linked? I have issues in connecting it with my samsung phone. Thanx, Max

its been a while, I used an iphone. Assume you connect via bluetooth, in your phones bluetooth menu, but not exactly sure.

Useful vid, thanks. I script all my vids because if I talk normally, it sounds too bland, whereas I find it easier to be more energetic with a script! But that means I'm not in my videos, so I want a teleprompter so I can intersperse the video footage with my smiling face!

I like your channel and enjoy the practical application of the equipment. I think you certainly need to stay the coarse with the lower dollar and higher volume equipment to gain the most subs. I am here because I am replacing an old D300 Nikon but am only a $1000 - 1500 buyer and found the videos great. I particularly enjoyed the video of hiking with the new M6 mk2 and the 16 lenses video. I think good content could be digging in deeper with each of those lenses or similar pairs in a form where you are using them and talking about the settings as you set them up in different situations.

Thanks Dough, you have pretty well outlined my current channel strategy. I plan to stay on the budge gear side of things. Working on a series about using the M50 for KZbin now, then will do a photography series. Will likely mix in some M6 Mark II videos too.

Teleprompting is a definitely a skill. What app are you using Mark (Android or iPhone?) great info, great vid

I'm using an iphone, the app is the Desview app, it's the app made by the teleprompter supplier. Are you using a teleprompter for any of your stuff?

@@markwiemels I have yet to use my teleprompter “live” as it always looks like I’m reading and my speech comes out unnatural. I’m using Malatesta Teleprompter as my app but I’m encountering issues with the voice control.

I LOVE your content… SOOOO helpful You’ve earned a sub and we watch your videos daily and they’ve really helped us improve the quality of our videos. I have an odd question. Do you normally have an English, Irish or Australian accent that you hide in your videos? I’ve always been suspiciously curious about this. My cousin does the same which made me wonder! Thanks so much!
@markwiemels2 жыл бұрын
I have an American accent mostly, but live in Australia, so it’s a little bit of a hybrid. This is just the way I talk, in my every day life.

I have toyed with the idea of using one. Every time I finish a video I inevitably leave something out. Even if I look at my notes and insert after the fact I still miss something. Scripting might be the way to go.
@markwiemels3 жыл бұрын
I think more people script, and use teleprompters, than we realise. I shoot video for 30 minutes, then spend multiple hours editing it down to 10 minutes, and then still end up missing out ton things that should be in the video. Writing out a script seems like a pain, but it may be faster, and better, in the long run.
@WOMENOFTROY2 жыл бұрын
From what I understand, it only works for a lens no wider than 24mm (full frame). Is that true? I like to use my 20mm for videos and I’m curious if that would work with this teleprompter.
@markwiemels2 жыл бұрын
I have not used anything wider than 24mm, so I’m not sure.

I think that really depends on the person. For sure some people seem to do much better with a prompter.
